We could have had an early lead on the first chip shot and then have scored on our opening drive of the second half on a manageable kick in a dome. Those two kicks really hurt because if he had made them perhaps we would have went more to Edwards instead of shutting it down ourselves when the guy was open and we also could have tried to keep the same pressure that we had early throughout the game. I know we lost because of our second and third corners had horrible days and when we lost Greene that really hurt but put those six points on the board and you build confidence and can do other things and play more aggressive. I am surprised that Rex never picked up Chris McCalister in training camp and it is sad that we gave up two 4th round picks for Lito Sheppard when the Eagles were getting ready to release him before last years draft.
The what "if" theory. If the Bengals kicker make two if his kicks. If the Chargers 3 made those 3 kicks. The Jets used all of their lucks any team ever had in the history of the NFL. Luck can only last you so long.
I wouldnt say that... if the score was different, we would have been more aggressive on offense and scored more points
I don't necessarily agree with that. If he makes 2 of those (57 yarder is ridiculous), the Chargers have 13 pts before that last TD drive where the defense played a soft zone.
So what? Feely had a great year, and let's not focus on what happened. I'd rather be optimistic moving into the draft than pissed off at Feely and have resentment for a phenomenal season.
Stop...Feely has been good all year and we've had fg misses against us...Peyton was just that good today
But I guess we lost the game, not the Colts won it, right (aka when we beat the Chargers)? Somehow I doubt anyone will be making the same comparisons, and, instead, will be stating the Colts woop'd us...
yep. Bottom line is that if we dont give up that touchdown before the end of the half, its an entirely different ballgame. I felt nauseous for the rest of the game after that last drive before the half. If your going to single out one player (which is silly) it would be Coleman.
The missed FGs meant very little. Plus, neither miss was a chip shot. If Feely made the 44 yards the final would have been 30-20.
The second missed field goal, I felt that Rex should've punted and forced the Colts to start deep in their own end. But it really doesn't matter. The Jets looked good in the first half & the Colts were ready for us in the second half. The future is looking bright and I am so glad we have Rex Ryan as our head coach.
Colts hung 30 on the supposed #1 D. Jets simply can't score that many points. Peyton play a great game and the Colts didn't make stupid mistakes, penalties, head butt, kicking flags, and of course missed multiple FG. The score reflect how it's suppose to be when you play an Elite team and you're not one.
You should try applying this thinking to your own life. Make a list of every single attractive girl you can remember since grade school that you could have talked to but didn't.
