Do you think we trade down a few spots? If we don't have our heart set on one player we can try to trade down with a team that wants VY. Unfortunately, everyone will bank on VY falling a little if he lasts beyond top 3. Somebody might want to trade up for Ferguson, Hawk, or Mario Williams though, so you never know. I wouldn't be against drafting Mario Williams if Mangini thinks he'd be a good fit.

I would take VY if Cutler isn't there, we need a QB.

Trade down and get White, McNeil, Ngata or even Jimmy Williams (Barrett will be gone after this season and he'd make a nice tandem with Miller).

I like Jimmy Williams if we trade down. The guy is very confident (cocky) but he can back it with great size and instincts coming from a solid D. If we can pick up a second round pick or a future first this might be a nice little trade down. Realistically i think we can get at least a 2nd to trade down.

If that's the case, than a lot of GMs would be fired.

Too bad he's right. Cutler is so overrated it's not even funny. Half the posters here endorsing him haven't even seen him play.

I don't think Mangini wants Vince Young...

I don't think the Jets want to draft D'Brickashaw...

My bet is it would be Mario Williams...

Having said that, I still think Cutler will be available.

And most people that have seen him play are endorsing him. Interesting.

Probably based on the fact that Commodores games aren't exactly put on primetime very often.

If Cutler is taken in the top 3, it means that the Jets are very lucky: they get Vince Young.

No, not the scrub games. But all the ones that mattered the most. Vince young would be a nightmare, and not because of the wonderlic score.

The last time I check Vince Young kind of single-handedly beat USC in the game that mattered the most... the National Championship Game.

He's so confident he got thrown out of his final Bowl game. I'd stay away from his thug ass.

Even if he isn't available, trade down and take DeAngelo.

I'm a fan of the trade-down (pending Penny's situation). With so many impending cuts, we should try to fill these holes with as many young players as possible. If we trade down later into the first, we can pick up players like Eric Winston or Nick Mangold who would help us in positions of need.

BTW, if Young falls to us, I say we rob some poor team blind of their picks. Hell, if this happens we could dominate the draft with the boatload of picks we could potentially get.
