I think we the fans with the help of the media are getting too carried away with the home win against the Bengals…and we should not be surprised if we lose this weekend in Cincinnati…they should be favored and rightfully so, lets look at our season…

-Our best two games were the first against Houston & the last against Cincinnati…not exactly the sign of a team about to make a run.

-Our defense is ranked # 1 but we never consistently played as a # 1 defense aside from maybe 4/5 games, very rarely would you with almost absolute certainty while watching one of our games say the other team is toast based on the strength of our defense…

-Our offense sucks period…obviously the passing game with Sanchez is their for all to see..the running game has been good & great against bad teams…we have not been able to run at good teams with authority…

-Darelle Revis (Amen!) is the truth…I think what he has done this season is unprecedented…but he is on one of those runs where you know its impossible to sustain…like Devin Hester and his kick-off/punt returns…I think he is better against physical big corners (A.Johnson/T.O) than on precise route runners (Ocho/R.Wayne) and after the embarrassment Ocho received last week I just don’t see it happening again…he may not go for 100 but the 65 he gets will be crucial to the final score…

-As for Sanchez sure rookies struggle but though he has shown glimpses of being a good QB down the road he is pure and simple a liability…its inevitable at some point the Bengals will shut down the run game & it will be on him to move the chains he might do it a few times but when it matters he will choke…he is a Rex Grossman…if we had Stafford I would not be this concerned…since the Baltimore preseason game I cannot say much has changed about him…maybe next season…we just wont win with him behind center…

    - Cincinnati did not win the AFCN by chance they swept it! Sure they sucked against everyone else but this season most of the AFC teams were .500..dont get me wrong they were playing to win against us on Sunday but when teams of equal strength play with one with a do or die mentality you get what happened…it wont happen again they will play like the AFCN champions…they will run on us more than we will on them..that in itself says an L…

The Teddy bruschis of this world are blowing our team way up too soon…they would be right if our stats really reflected on the field on Defense and if our running game was consistent and most importantly if Sanchez was better than he really is. This is not a SOJ post coz Rex has really turned this team around and we have a lot of pieces in place for next season…just getting to the playoffs + running game + defense is more than I ever bargained for....

The way I see it is, we can either win or lose. Whoever scores more should pull out the victory.

By the way, the Jets are the #5 seed at the #4 seed. The Jets have a Rookie QB and a Rookie Coach. A loss would not be a surprise, thus this thread does not need to be made.

I won't be surprised if the Jets lose this weekend either but I think you're underrating the Jets and overrating the Bengals.

They've won 3 of there last 7 games with those wins coming against the Chiefs, Lions and Browns. The Jets on the other hand have won 5 of their last 6 and barely lost the 1 game they did lose.

I swear people act like the tables are turned.

Ummmm.. We have had very solid games this season. Houston and Cinci were hardly the only two. Wow..

Our defense has been the sole reason we had the season that we did. They are the single reason why we are in the playoffs. They are not inconsistent at all. WTF are you talking about? Yes, they did let a couple games slip due to last minute drives. You are right, but that is only because our defense can only be on that field so much before they give up something. Our offense and special teams didn't help out our defense a whole lot this year. It is hilarious that people don't consider that.

Our offense sucks period? We have the #1 rush ranked offense. That alone says that our offense is better then everyone in that specific area alone. Yeah, our passing game is a little shady, but the balance between the two is possible. We have seen this balance the last couple weeks, hopefully they can continue that balance. I don't care what teams we have faced, if you are number one in anything you can bet our team earned that. That is just stupid to say we can't run against "good teams". If that was the case, we would not be #1 in rushing, period.

I can not believe you are bashing, Revis. You are hands down the definition of a "darksider".

Ok.. I'm not going any further. After all of that, I'm convienced you are secretely a Bengals fan. Only explanation I can come up with from all of that non-sense. Come out of your kitty-cat closet already, that was an awful read.

the media is absolutely not blowing up this win at all! have you been watching tv or listening to the radio?? i really don't quite get that at all...

our offense sucks period?? # 1 rushing attack doesn't warrant that response at all...

rather than going on let me ask you a question...

is there anything that you DO like about this team?

Yep I have been following what the media is saying...basically the Bengals are toast and we can make an improbable run...

And I like a lot about this team...the defense...and the running game...they are good and great sometimes but Sanchez negates alot of that with his play...

I'm very happy with this team...I aint no darksider...everything I posted was IMHO...

Cinncinnati is a victim of an easy division just like the Colts.
These guys inflate their wins by beating up their division.

The STEELERS were subpar especially w/no Polamalu.
RAVENS are good and of course
    the BROWNS.

They Swept them. Nice and we all know that beating your division is hard. KUDOS!

THAT SAID, They also beat da PACKERS...but I ain't buying.
They Lost to VIKES, TEXANS, RAYDUHS, BRONCOS, JETS, CHARGERS.

The NY media will always bring up the SOJ stuff...the NFL network may generally be saying we were let in but they still see us beating up on the Bengals...I have read all the major outlets and gone through most teams forums (not only the Bengals) and the feeling i get is that though we 'backed in' we have a great shot against the Bengals & we could even end up in the SB based on the last few years wild card team performances...

All I'm saying is we could and possibly will go one and done...
