Mark Sanchez's last game as a Jet, or at least his last as a starter. The performance today, in a game where your entire season is on the line, he came out and laid a complete egg. He's been inconsistent all year, but this is the worst I have seen all year, which is inexcusable when you are playing for your playoff lives. 3 interceptions, 2 of which were to offensive lineman?! Really?! Endless amount of passes behind WRs and countless overthrows, there is no end to it. After witnessing this, I cannot see a reason for the Jets to give Sanchez another shot at the starting job. Over 3 years, despite reaching two AFCCGs, he did so with a top notch running game, an excellent o-line, and a top tier defense. Now that the offense and defense aren't as beastly as they once were, Sanchez has been exposed. In the game where it mattered most, he shit the bed. Time to move on, or at the very least, bring in someone to compete for the job next year. I am sick and tired of the Jets winning in spite of their QB, I'm ready to watch a Jet team that wins BECAUSE of their QB. And no, I don't mean winning because of some miracle 4th quarter drive after the QB plays like crap for 3 quarters.
I love everything Sanchez has done for our organization. Thank you for everything sanchez, thanks for the memories. Easily replaced but never forgotten. Always will be my favorite QB for emotional reasons. Thank you for the 11-5 season. Thank you for the epicness you did for us in the post season. Thanks for putting us on the map again. It was a team effort but you were a big reason buddy.
Get Peyton Manning in here. Colts have #1 pick now. Theirs no way Manning and Luck will remain on the same team. Schefter said the Colts are looking to restart at Coach and QB...
An undrafted walkon can do better then this...so does it matter? Oh and you can save 24 million over the next two years while you're at it...sounds like a win-win to me.
I'm not worry, another off-season at DayCamp making tee shirts and bracelets out of acorns will increase his accuracy marginally and he'll be our starting QB with the built in excuse of having a new OC..........SMH.
If this team had a real QB, that 2009 or 2010 team may have won a super bowl, and I firmly believe that. We made two AFCCGs despite Sanchez, not because of him.
I would take Peyton for a year pending his neck status. But, I couldn't have said it any better than RobA. This is his 3rd year in the league...final game of the season...and he made rookie mistakes (some WORSE) than rookie mistakes and he essentially lost this game. He has had a top 5 defense and running game the previous two years and that did hide some things and most importantly...and quite key....allow him to grow. The whole point of having those two the previous years was to ALLOW him that time. But, he hasn't grown. And now when the defense has not quite come through as strong and the o-line/running game struggled at times he has not shown that growth or maturity. I, personally, say give the Alabama kid a shot next year to REALLY compete for the starting job. Now...huge question for ALL of you...do we look at drafting a QB??? Ugghhh...
Co-sign Those two teams were superbowl caliber teams. Maybe they don't win, but with a decent QB the 09-10 teams should have took the league by storm. There is only 1 reason why the didn't.
It was D-Linemen w/ the Piks. But when the OC is calling fade patterns, crossing routes and dump offs to the RB's...there is more than a problem @ QB.
learn the game, better QBs have had better teams and not as much postseason success. Stop w/ this nonsense, it makes our entire fanbase look awful. I'm so sick of clueless, whiny fans who have no clue what they are talking about.
