HUGE!!!! So we suprise the world and almost beat Manning and the Colts. Then we lay down in Jaxsonville and get pushed around while NE grabs a 2 game lead in the division. Now we have our next home game against a division rival. The Jets have lost both of their home games for the greatest fans in the world. Now what??? I want to embarass the Dolphins Sunday. We need to make a statement on Sunday!!! D'Brick needs to shut down Taylor and Penny has to get Coles and Cothery the ball. Lets come out throwing and playing like we have to win this game... The Offensive Line needs to make the holes and the D needs to sack Harrington 3-4 times. As a Loyal Jets fan since birth, I need this win. Lets make a statement to all of those idiots who said we would suck this year. Come Sunday night, let's get back to 3-3 and lets do it right and beat the crap out of this weak Miami team.
If we have any aspirations of going to the playoffs, this game is huge. Home game, conference game, divisional game. Huge in all three respects.
W's are very good for any team and we need one now. On paper we should win this one if we really give it our all. As long as the same officiating crew as Jacksonville isn't calling the game, we may actually have a 70/30 chance at a win. If we get last week's officiating crew then Miami already has 14 points on the board. Go Jets.

If we lose this game this team will go down the shoot and be in complete rebuild for years, looking a lot like the Cardinals and Lions.
This Sunday we find otu what kind of team we have. ALst season when things started looking bad, we laid down. This season, we got pounded once and we will either bounce back full of piss and vinegar and make a statement or come out, be complacent, and let Miami be in the game. A solid team effort will win us this game, but I would really like to see an insiring performance, one where the D-line stops the run and the O-line creates some holes......and let's get some damn pressure on the Qb!!!
Mangini has to start coaching these guys up(especially the defense). The early part of this game will tell the story. If we cant move the ball in the 1st quarter and the defense gets run over early, were done. We have to come out and score early, and we need to get a few stops early on defense.
Sunday is a statement game, simple as that. Coming off a horrifying game in Jacksonville the JETS can not ill afford to lose to another team from Florida.
I couldn't agree more with you. This game ids all about Mangini and his ability to be a NFL H/C. A blow out loss and we could easily be done for the season in terms of Mangini losing the confidence of his players.
