Our high school football coach is friends with one of the head guys at CBS and he was able to get our whole team down there to visit the stadium. At Dolphins Stadium, we got to go through all the trailers set up with the film equipment and game monitors which was really cool. But, we mainly went there because the CBS people used us to test out the new grass on the field and try out all the different cameras they will be using. The cameramen had us running all different plays and situations on the gamefield, so that they could find all the best camera angles for the actual Super Bowl game. For example, our receivers would run sideline routes and fades into the endzone and plays on the goaline, so that for the actual game they would know which cameras to switch to. We were all wearing jerseys to represent the players on the Colts and Bears, and we actually had a full game almost and simulated all different situations on the Super Bowl field. We even had replays of us up on the jumbo trons from the sky cam views. It was an amazing, once in a lifetime experience.
That is awesome man. Congratulations! That would be so cool to be a part of. Which team/jersey did you wear?
I was Alex Brown, the DE for the bears; and one play I had to rush "manning" and make him roll out and throw it into the dirt
I was on the field.....I got pre-game passed for the Monday Night game this year against the Jets. It was awesome.
