I work at the restaurant on top of Muvico in Boca Raton, Fl, Ray comes in 2 or 3 times during the offseason he lives about 15 minutes away. I?ve seen him a few times but never went up to him. So last night he was sitting at the bar with his hat pulled down low, you could tell he was trying to be low key. I went behind the bar and just said ?hey Ray, Ray don?t forget the Jets and Rex Ryan, we are freeing up some cap space, our defense is nasty, you?re the missing piece? I held my fist out and he touched fists with me. He kinda starred at me with no facial expression and then kinda smirked when I said he was the missing piece. I left and didn?t say anything else to him. But two years ago during the week before the Super Bowl Ray came in with Randall Cunningham and one of our mangers went up for an autograph, Ray said no, but Randle was nice enough to do it. I felt the need to share the story.
if we sign him i'll hate you forever..................unless he takes us to the super bowl and than i'll name my next kid after you
Hey man, one thing is for sure. If Ray came here there would be no slacking on defense. Imagine how hard Gholston would work if Ray was playing and practicing next to him. I would like to think the defense would work harder as a unit. But dont get me wrong, I WANT Bart Scott, period.
I'd love to have Ray here....he makes the players around him play to their potential......what i don't agree with is the obscene contract he may be offered by the Jets....it's too much for a guy in the twilight of his career.
I would prefer Bart Scott for long term, but to be honest, both Ray Ray and Scott will improve our defense. Ray more then Scott, but he is a Favre waiting to happen. Thats why I prefer Scott. I'll be happy with either one.
Yea , Randy Moss comes in all time. Ray Lewis, Leonard Marshall, Cris Carter, Santana Moss. I actually went over to Santana Moss about a year ago when he was getting popcorn and said "hey man we miss you in NY, Im a die hard Jets fan." and no joke he gave me some crazy ass hand shake in which I had no clue what to do. No lie, lol. Sid Rosenberg also comes in all the time, I know him, he always comes and finds me to say whats up, really nice guy. I call his show about once every two weeks.
