A surprising, great 2017 season by him for the most part then McCown went down and that was that.

So close to 1,000 yards receiving it doesn't look like he's gonna get it now.

The coaching staff's unwillingness to let Petty throw the ball and/or Petty's inability to get him the ball have turned him into a complete non-factor down the stretch.

He's been our best, most explosive offensive player this season.

I hope the front office gives him a deserved contract extension doesn't use this finish against him to play hardball with him while they go out and throw tons of cash at other team's free agents.

If Petty was at all good Anderson would have cracked 1000 yards easily. He has missed Anderson on so many passes over the last three weeks.

The coaching staff don't know what to do with a strong armed QB. It's all short passes and runs.

    Exactly.

No threat to the defense at all.

In this game runs to nowhere for the most part they've set Petty up to be in 2nd, 3rd and long/impossible situations.

A deep ball went to Mguire instead of Robbie Anderson.

    Frickin' morons.

This is one hell of a take away from today's game. One hell of a take away from Petty's career really. He's a strong arm quarterback that couldn't hit the broadside of a barn. He's missing some routine throws and missing them badly.

Josh McCown has a pretty big arm and there was no problem with him running the offense. I think what you meant to say is Bryce petty is terrible and cost Anderson a 1000 yard season.

Petty just missed a pass behind the line of scrimmage with no defender in sight. But this damn coaching staff just doesn't know what to do.

Anderson's arrow is pointing up. He'll be fine but he does have to learn to control that temper of his.

True, but it can bite us in the ass especially when DB's learn how to play on that temper.

Pettys done, I never want to see him in a Jet uniform again. He never got a full season to show his stuff but he has played poorly in literally every game. Not to mention his fails the eye test miserably. I think Geno can hit some of the passes that Petty missed.

It’s a WCO. It’s based on short routes, timing, precision passing, and reading the holes in the defense pre snap. All things our current QB crop have a hard time with.

A big arm is as important, if not more, for squeezing the ball into tight windows on short and medium routes as it is for letting the long ball go. At the nfl level most anyone can get it down field, it’s if they can do it with accuracy that matters. The accuracy of our QBs is not a strong suit.
