Greg Beacham, of the Associated Press, reports the San Francisco 49ers have traded restricted free agent WR Brandon Lloyd to the Washington Redskins for the Redskins' third-round pick in this year's NFL Draft and their fourth-round selection in 2007.

Why would the 49ers trade a very young productive WR? How fucking cheap can they get? I think Lloyd is really good and if he has a competent QB I believe he will put up very good numbers. 49ers are such a mess.

Reportedly he wanted out of San Francisco. Can't blame the 49ers for trading someone who didn't want to be there.

absolutely- that is great value for him. The'll bring someone else in for smith, but I do think thats a little crazy for them to start getting rid of one of their only weapons.

pretty good trade as far as I'm concerned. I think Washington got ripped off, actually. San Fran knows what a prima donna WR can do to a lockerroom.

The 49ers are almost definetly going to trade down, the positions they need don't have any real players worth taking at 6, unless they want to go for Hawk/Williams. But they really need a WR, so they will probably trade down for Jackson or Holmes and pick up extra picks to address their many needs.

Chad Jackson would be a good pick for them and would help him and Smith to develop chemistry for years to come.

The Niners probably told him, "look, you have had mediocre numbers to date, and we're not going to give you the money you're looking for," and he asked for a trade. This is a great deal for both teams.

uh chad jackon (you know, the guy himself) should consider it a miracle if he cracks the top 20..

i think they are going to take a long look at vernon davis with their #6 pick, TE's are usually a QB's safety net, and what a hell of a safety net he is going to be

The deal with him was he did not want to be a 49er anymore. He signed their offer sheet cause he knew he was going to be traded. Locker room cancer, he hated it.

Either trade him or keep a player who ddosent wanna be on your team anymore, exactly like Abraham and us.
