Some people go away, do stuff outside, forget the NFL for a week. Not me, I have the DirecTV package and if I can I watch all the games. I won't get out my lucky Jets coffee mug Sunday morning, won't put on any Jets gear, but an NFL Sunday nonetheless. It sorely lacks the anxiety/excitement I still feel when the Jets are going to play, but it's still one of the precious few NFL Sundays of the year--only 17 of them in a 52-week year. I'm not a fantasy guy so I have no interest in that, but the dish allows me to focus on the best and closest games. How about you?
Day just goes on fine. I just don't take the three hours to watch the Jets that week. Besides, this sunday is my birthday. So i'll have more than enough stuff to keep me busy anyway.
watch the updates and root against Cincinnati and Kansas City so they will all be tied for a wildcard spot with the Jets at 4 and 4....
Coles, Pennington, Dyson along with many others sure can use the bye week bro... Week 1 bye week? Hah, then play 16 straight games?
That's funny, I was going to start this thread. Glad you did. As a fan, I like our bye week happening right in the middle of the season. It gives a nice symmetry to the season. It also gives me a week to rest and just enjoy the games without all the agita that comes with watching a Jets fourth-quarter meltdown. I don't have Sunday Ticket so I'm going to go the nearest sports bar that does have it and I'll dip into the buffet, have a few beers and flirt with the waitresses while watching some of my fantasy boys and the more competitive games.
I will be working -- as most Sundays this year but after this weekend the only Sunday I work between now and the end of the season is the Houston game - which will be televised here and I keep my trusty TV under the desk so I watch whatever is televised here anyway - at least no stress factors this weekend -- enjoy everyone
