I noticed the "official" thread is a bloated 124 pages and I have no desire to sift thru over 100 pages of posts to find the latest pics. 124 pages is simply too many pages and the newest pics should be in a new thread, but since people are really touchy about such things (see get a life) can a busy body help out with a method that doesn't take all day?
I'm going to miss that little building to the left even if it was mostly red. That bowl had great visibility for every seat in the stadium.
As a football Stadium the meadowalnds is/was great. If they just could have put new colored seats in there it would have been perfect.
I can tell by the shadows that that picture was taken early in the morning. My seat is up along the right side of that sunlit bank about halfway between the 50 and the corner. If I were sitting in that seat at that hour of the morning I'd have the sun in my face. Good thing the games are in the afternoon, because I don't think my portable Hubble Space Telescope works so good if the sun in shining on the lens. Inside those tunnels is where the oxygen mask rental stations will be, for the higher altitudes. I understand they're installing signs that say, "Proceed into the upper rows at your own risk! We highly encourage the use of oxygen masks at the higher altitudes. Only $12 per person!"
When I saw drawings of the new place it looked too much like FedEx and FedEx Field is a terrible Stadium in the upper deck but the hope I have is the field level. They are saying the field is higher than the old one so maybe it's not quite as bad as it seems?
This is the second time I've seen someone knock 17a's thread and the people who have contributed to it. Maybe you're the same guy that knocked it when it was 100 pages or so, I'm not sure. At any rate, that bloated thread (as you call it) has contained the most helpful, useful information I've ever seen for anyone wanting seats in the new stadium. "124 pages is simply too many pages." Says who? You, who can't even find a fucking Web Cam link that's been around since Day One? You might want to ask everyone who contributed to the 124 pages if it's too long, because obviously they must have had a reason for posting in it that long. And who really cares if you have "no desire" to sift thru it? People who have contributed to the thread are "touchy" and "need to get a life?" No one asked you to go there. Go find your own pics if you're dissatified with the content. This is the internet... there are millions of sources of pictures available everywhere. Sheesh.
thanks brother. and junc i did feel the same way until i walked thru the new stadium in january while it was still a ways away.and after the tour i had to walk around giants stadium and actually paid alittle more attention to detail about that 1976 made concrete jungle.it is time for a home of our own.too bad we share it with someone else AGAIN.
Why the hell are you thanking someone who's touchy and needs to get a life? After all, that's the only reason I posted in your thread to begin with.
I never minded the idea of sharing the new one again because it meant that the costs would be shared and we'd all wind up with decent seats at reasonable prices. At least, that's the way it was sold to the public and the way I pictured it. Never envisioned the unbelievable screw job ahead and the fact that the sharing meant absolutely nothing...
So then could you imagine the screw job we'd all be getting if the Jets footed the bill all by themselves.
I was thinking the same thing. Get a life? Seriously? That thread is for ticket holders to discuss options for the new stadium, it is not a picture book. I can't believe in this day and age this dude can't simply go to newyorkjets.com to get some current webcams.
The new stadium looks horrible. Those upper decks are garbage seasts - bring a telescope. Shared costs? At those ticket/license prices. And then I woke up.
The guy was banned not too long ago for popping off like a jackass. I'm not even a season ticket holder (obviously, given location), but I enjoyed reading the other thread. I'm really not sure where he's coming from, but my first sentence may provide some insight.
