Mawae looked terrible last night. The guy was being pushed in the backfield on almost every run play. Come on buddy, hang it up. You were a great Jet.

I watched him specifically on about 6 plays. On five he successfully blocked the guy he went after, on one play he got beat to his right on a running play for a lose of a yard. Mawae can still play the game. I don't know if he is still the best center in the AFC, I doubt it at this point, but don't be mistaken that he can't play anymore.

It would be more fitting to start a thread on the Cardinals' punter on Sunday night.

Well last night was Casey Hampton, against us its Kris Jenkins. No Center in the league is going one on one with those guys and winning. The Titans line was not great, but they were also facing one of the best defenses in the NFL in Pittsburgh.

As to why did he start the probowl? Because he's a big name and the probowl is nothing but a popularity contest.

    ...because fan based voting sucks.

Nnamdi Asomugha's only been to two Pro-Bowls and he's been in the league for 7 seasons.

Idiots vote because they look at the stats - Aso's been the best corner in the league since 2006, but he didn't get voted to the Pro Bowl in '07 because teams stopped throwing at him. No INTs = not enough votes.

While Mangold did the same to Haynesworth. That was one game where we really dominated on both sides of the line.

He's not bad but he isn't great. Still a solid Center in the league and he did some nice things last night but i did see him get beat a couple of different times.

He's struggled with good nose tackles for quite a while, dating back to when he was with us.He got by with his speed and agility,I wonder if there is any other center who can pull and become the lead blocker on a toss like Mawae can.
