Was I the only one watching that sorry excuse for a tackle that gave up the go ahead touchdown. He makes that play are we still talkin about Chad....i dont know. Defense is worse than Chad.
Plaxico Burress makes alot of db's look stupid. hes also tied with randy moss for most td receptions in the league. the guys a beast. furthermore dont make more excuses for chad. defense is not worse than chad. they kept us in position to win these last two games and chad melted down.
I still say it was a face mask on Plex. 15 yarder too because he jerked Dysons helmet down by the face mask. I'll bet they start calling this tighter in the future. When a defensive players hand even inadvertantly brushes the facemask the laundry flies. I don't understand the double standard......and I saw it immediately at the game from the 22nd row on the other side of the field. How does a ref that's standing right there with a perfect angle not?
You can push it, but you can't pull it....which is what he did. Watch the replay again and you see Dysons head going down. http://video.aol.com/video-detail/cant-miss-play-plaxico-burress-td/289749008 watch the slo-mo replay that occurs after the regular speed one. Pretty conclusive if you ask me.
Yes, let's kill Dyson for one play. It was a horrible play, it happens. The fact is there is no one that is better than Dyson and Revis right now on the team. The same can't be said for QB, necessarily.
Wow cant believe your defending Dyson. He has been terrible all the time. When are we gonna get rid of this guy. Cmon just push the guy out of bounds. Its not that hard, even a two year old would know that. Right near the sidelines, push him out. Plax makes dbs look stupid, no dyson made himself look stupid. Dont give credit to that lazy piece of garbage.
No reason to defend Dyson; he looked like a bitch on that play trying to bring down burress. His tackling mechanics on that play looked absolutely pathetic
He screwed up but he is usually good and also, the whole D should be under the bus, not just him. EVen if he got Plax outta bounds, they'd have still pounded it in for the score....
*throws Dyson under a bus* Okay great, that solved one bad play, and possibly a few others. What about the offense that put up 10 points once again?
Because it is stupid to single out one person for this disastrous start to the season? With that said that one play pretty much sums up how pathetic this team has been on both sides of the ball.
First you must look at the mathcup itself... Dyson had no buisness being matched up one on one with Burress and that is the coaching staff's fault. Dyson is under 200 pounds and 5'10" Burress is over 225 pounds and is 6'5" I know we don't have many big CB's on our team, but in my opinion Revis should have been on Burress all game long. Plus dyson isn't know for tremendous tackling abilities. Not a good play...and I wont defend him, but you have to realize that he shouldn't have been covering the guy to begin with. Been REALLY dissapointed with coaching staff this season. Last season the Jets outschemed all of their opponents.
it was a bad play, but chads 3 picks were back breakers. the fact of the matter is this is a defense that gave up 80 points in the first 2 games, and 14 points were scored from ST and the D. chad physical limits are limiting the offense and hurting the chances of winning games. we arent playoff bound with him at this point, so what can it hurt to let clemens get in there. im not saying were bound for glory with him (KC) this season anyway, but at least lets have a look and see what we have moving forward. dyson isnt the biggest problem facing the team...the biggest issue is who is under center...
Dyson's just a little guy. Hes good in coverage, not a big tackler; you pair him up on a big guy like Burress and you pretty much have to expect that if he gets the ball in his hands, your gonna need a second guy to bring him down. Theres no sense in throwing Dyson under the bus for his physical limitations, limitations that you knew about when you signed him and had to be thinking about when you asked him to cover Burress. Its pointless to be looking for blame at this point, but Id really love to see on that play where the safeties were, as I kinda suspect that whichever was on that side might have assumed Dyson had him out of bounds and stopped playing early. And by the way, not that I speak for the author, but I think the whole point of this thread was to try to at least consider the idea that maybe not everything in the world is Pennington's fault. That was a seriously blown tackle that pretty much destroyed the game; I don't blame Dyson, but that play more than any of Pennington's interceptions gave the Giants the win. There are plenty of threads for people who only want to talk about benching Pennington, so when somebody opens a thread to try and discuss something else, I think its common courtesy to let them.
jets only have 3 sacks so far this season and everyone we play are having there way in the air and on the ground, your right it is chads fault.
