why is it, when people talk about our "need", for a rb, no one talks about CEDRIC HOUSTON? if it were'nt for his thyroid problem, which went undiscovered, he would have gone much higher, coming out of, TENNESSEE, last year. i thought, when he filled in, for curtis, last year, he hit the hole, well, and did'nt get those, " happy feet ", most rookie runners do. what do you guy's think, of him?

Average or below average. Sort of typical NYJ player they have acquired thru the years which is why we are what we are

Very good point. I think if we don't get Bush or D. Williams, then we stick with Houston. If we have a chance to get one of those two then it's a no brainer. Otherwise, I would be happy with Cedric Houston

I think, that, you are, using, too many commas, in your, post.

That said, Houston is below average and won't be on the team in 2006. He'll get cut before the season starts. Count it.

Houston looked ok behind a crappy line in a lost season. He's the kind of player you like to have on your roster b/c he fits certain roles, is very coachable, and has a lot of potential. That said, most of these guys don't develop into stars, so you can't rely on them. You have to make sure you have other options at the position.

look at his first start vs. Oakland to how he ran the ball vs. Buffalo in the last week of the season and you see a much better runner. I'd like to see what else he can do.

i just think we are so impatient, that if a guy does'nt blow us away, with 100yrd games, right off the bat, that we always think the grass is greener(no pun intended), some place else

Damn. People beg for Cotch to get the ball more, for 2 years half the board was pumping up D Strait and there are STILL guys on here that don't believe we need a TE but Houston is below avg? Can a brother get a full season and some touches? We keep all these other avg to below avg players hanging around for 2 or 3 yrs. The least we can give Houston is a lil pre-season love.

Champ is right, we should just donate all our 6th round picks to New England because then they can draft all the Tom Brady's in the world. Houston has tons of talent for being drafted where he was. Whether or not that will make him a quality starter in the NFL remains to be seen, but I don't think he is anything more than a special teamer.

Well you make a judegement based on what your CS thinks 1st & he surely did not impress the previous CS otherwise they would have played him.

The other "coaching staff" wouldn't play Jesus Christ if he wasn't one of thier guys... so I don't believe that for a minute. The only reason he played, much like that same staff did with Pennington, was because there was no one else. I'd like to see if he's got anything more than I expect, but what I expect is not much... so ehh

i think he would be fine in a lot of offenses, but i think with pennington we need an elite RB

pennington is only successfull with a good running game

I'm not saying he's the next Terrell Davis Champ, just that i want him to touch the ball before we start making rash decisions. And if things go they way our current CS is setting them up I'm sure Kevin Faulk will be our new RB "For one year" til we get somebody better because he's a "BelichicK" kinda player. Besides you were highly critical of the former regime yourself sir. Now you're using them to support your statements?

Isn't this the same former coaching staff you always called inept??

Then, by your logic, they had no business judging talent....

Painting yourself in a corner here, champ...
