Lets see .... Houston is moving to a 43 from a 34. Deloach was a 34 NT. Did I say he was the savior? Don't believe I did.

2 seasons ago (03) Jerry Deloach started 16 games as a defensive end. Now he weighs 335? FATASS ALERT!

He got cut because they are going from a 3-4 to a 4-3 and he is probably too slow for a 4-3 DT. If we want to see if he has anything left in the tank it might be worth taking a look at him.

Honestly ... I am not sure how to respond to this insanity. How can you be a fan of the game and think this way?

So by your thinking ... the Jets (who had a bad year on D - thus making them a "terrible" D as you put it) have no players of worth. Vilma must be garbage, and Abraham was/is garbage (boy we pulled one over on Atlanta), Ellis nuthin but crap, and .... oh nm.

Just because your team does not play well on defense does NOT mean the entire defensive staff sucks.

I dont really know why everyone was hating on the guy that started this thread because i thought it was a very good post and yes we do need a "fat" NT-maybe the numbers he put up arent very attractive but Casey Hampton has one career sack and hes one of the most successful NT in the league. Plus Casey Hampton is just as big as him. It would be a great signing because he has 2 inches and 20 pounds on Robertson and Robertson just isnt big enough

I say bring him in. What do we have to loose by taking a look if he isn't what Tangini wants they cut him with little effect on the cap.

Exactly! SPIKE D is bringing real information, a nice break from the speculation that populates this site at this time of year.

And yes, Abyz, FAT ASSES are welcome on this line of anorexic teenage girls.

There's a difference, this isn't Aeneas Williams or Darren Sharper coming from an poor defensive. He isn't a former Pro Bowler or Roy or DOY canidate. So it's really not the same as comparing him to the best players the jets.

And he was the Nose Tackle on the worst team against the run in the NFL. And that is pretty much his job, because I doubt he was controlling the center and taking a guard every play and everybody else on the defense sucked. The so-so DTackle postion is already taken on this team by three players.

If he got nothing to bring to the table, don't even get your hopes up.
