I seem to remember he alreday is seeing more snaps than Cotchery... I think I read it on rotoworld but I'm not sure. that said Cotch has been in this system many years while Holmes has only played 4 games... it makes sense to rotate them (or have them both) depending on what plays are being called.
Holmes has played far more snaps than Cotchery the past few games. He is our #1 receiver. Edwards may get more snaps than Holmes for his blocking ability, but Holmes is our #1, no ifs ands or buts about it.
I think a" 'Tone Time " Jets T-shirt would be awesome. Id buy one, which one of you guys on here is a spy for Jets merchandising?
He should be #1. I rewatched the game and he was open on almost every route. He was absolutely torching the guy! Two examples from just the first drive of the game for the Jets: 2nd and 11 - missed throw to keller near the sideline. Santonio was open heading toward the sideline near the 5. you can see his hand go up. 3rd and 11 - short pass to brad smith. Santonio again was open on a go route in the end zone, having beaten his guy. My guess is that at half-time, Sanchez saw how open he was and made a concerted attempt to get him the ball. His athleticism is unbelievable. He's the quickest guy on the team, and we should be getting him the ball not just on slants and ins, but also on skinny posts and fades. He's consistently getting separation and makes Sanchez's job so easy.
