Not sure if this is the exact quote (or if there's a lot more to it), but he said that the Tebow trade "rattled" Sanchez. I think Sanchez has since said, in response, he wasn't rattled, but just surprised that it happened. I'll agree that it was so dumb on Holmes' part to say it, because the media have and will jump on this to claim how disfunctional the team still is. But hey, if they play a successful game on both sides of the ball tomorrow, this will go away easily.
Ya know what's really stupid? Saying something is random when it's not really random. Ya know like, responses to actions or comments aren't actually random. What's even more stupid is the recent over-use of the word "random"
The better option would have been Holmes saying it motived Sanchez.. Or even better, just not say anything at all. All he has to do is shut up and help the team win games. Holmes is far from the authority on everything that is football, contrary to what his ego allows him to believe. I honestly believe Holmes has some sort of envy issue with Sanchez. I didn't hear Holmes say anything about the OL..or Bart Scott stinking up the field last year. So that makes him a bonafide pussy in my eyes.
We definitely do need him to win. If he'd stop worrying about the psyche and performance of other people, and maybe be more concerned with not having to practice too hard (code for, Holmes is a whiney gash), he might actually have a good year.
