Posted this when the Jets were actually winning the game: -Jets screwing up their draft status to get Mariotta/Winston -Which effects their chances of getting Harbaugh -Getting Philbin fired -Letting Miami into the Harbaugh race (there were reports earlier in the year Miamis owner was ready to pay big for him again, although he failed last time despite Sparano still as the head coach) I dont support tanking but we might be talking franchise changing stuff. I not mind losses at this point. Ive already endured many, so a couple more will not hurt me.
Let's not forget that he tried really hard to miss a third one. They can get rid of the GM, the HC, OC, DC, every positional coach and every player on the roster as far as I'm concerned. Just keep Folk and that's a good start.
I just hope the team doesn't come dangerously close to winning again too many times these last 4 games. At some point he'll have to actually make one to keep the job.
Yeah that game wasn't really worth the win, not only would it have helped our draft status, it would have given the Steelers a better record to help keep the Dolphins out of the playoffs. Hindsight 20/20
ESPN not even giving the guy proper credit: " the usually reliable Nick Foles missed two field goals for the Jets."
As much as it helps our shot at Mariota or Cooper, I fear the worst case scenario that we continue to lose and suck only to see the Titans and Bucs suck even worse than us and steal the player we want right before our selection!
