Why would they? He isn't. Although if Olsen played as good as Jolley did in Oakland nobody would complain. Of course, he is taller, faster and has better hands so it could only be better.

I guess if Bradway still has any say regarding talent, Olsen's our guy.

It's a culmination of pre-draft boredom. There are many right now.

Does that mean you think Olsen is better than Jolley or worse than Jolley or you have no opinion at all?

Olsen will definitely be better than Jolley. if a team has lack of needs to the point where he is a value to them then he will accel. only if a horrible team reaches for him do i see him being a bust. i dont want him, but he does have tons of upside.

either way i dont think jet fans will have to worry about him being available at 25.

I hope you're wrong, but at least you took a stand stating your opinion....

Problem is that Carolina, who was to take Olsen, is said to now want a safety instead so it is possible he falls down to us.

I have a feeling the Jets are much more likely to take Posluszny or Harrell. Olsen is enticing, but I think they're still focused on the front seven. Olsen isn't really a complete tight end, and I think they might feel they can get another pass catcher later on and take a position of greater value or need at that spot.

Doug Jolley sucked in Oakland. That's why he was traded just 3 years after he was drafted.

Actually, he didn't suck at all or we wouldn't have given up a #1 pick for him which is unheard of. He has, however, sucked here from the day he arrived. To make it worse it wasn't even a future year's number 1, it was the current year's.

He had that one great game when they played the Jets and Bradway fell in love with him. Hmmm, sounds sort of like McCareins....

We didn't give up a #1 pick for him, we moved about 2 spots down and acumulated extra picks which eventually led to us getting Nugent, Kerry Rhodes and Cedric Houston so in essence it was Nuge, Rhodes and Houston for Jolley.

When did this happen? His best game against us was on mon Night in '02 when he had 5 for 58. In the playoffs he ahd 3 for 21 then didn't get a catch against us in '03. So where was ths one great game? jolley was highly thought of for a few years as a guy w/ alot of potential. We took a shot that he could fulfll it here but Jolley wasn't essential to that trade. We stil got Miller and Nugent plus Houston and w/ a pick acquired in that trade we traded up to get Kerry Rhodes.

He's more dangerous then ever as ex GM. Now he is in charge of player evaluation.

You're my hero. I've been hating the idea of us taking this guy SINCE THEY STARTED TALKING ABOUT IT! GOD! UH!

Ok, I feel better. But in all honesty... Doug Jolley didn't pan out for a reason. Chris Baker isnt the solution but this is also isnt the year to find one. Lets wait it out another season before we go for a marqee TE.
