Cimini can be a prick at times but also gets a good scoop every now and then. One thing he doesn’t do is kiss ass unlike Mehta. Mehta’s reporting can be downright nauseating....

    Kevan “sets the” Barlow.

Forgot about that guy. Shows you just how much of a dumpster fire this season really is.

I did too. The 06 team was RB by committee and still managed to finish 10-6.

Decent article, I don’t see the difficulty in fixing these issues though.

If Douglas keeps true to his philosophy of building out from the trenches there is no need to get rid of Laveon, with a good oline an UDFA at the RB position with potential, the load can be lightened for Laveon next year.

Oline is a priority and hopefully is addressed, drafting a skilled WR or signing one through FA will help Anderson as well.

None of these issues are impossible to fix, they are also not isolated to one solution, it’s a domino effect. Draft quality offensive linemen and the domino effect swings toward the positive spectrum, holes are open, QB has time, which leads to more plays being made.

Jamal will not be an issue the moment this team starts to trend upward in the win category.

They may as well keep Leveon. Most running backs don’t command good value in trades and he was brought here specifically to help Darnold. If our offensive does improve substantially next year he will have offenses focusing on him rather than Darnold.

True and I also prefer they keep Adams. Build the D around him.....

I agree but I am kind of warming up to the idea of trading him for a 1st and 3rd or more. It really depends on how good Joe Douglas is at drafting. If he isn’t better than the last two numbnuts we’ve had here then I definitely wouldn’t trade Adams.

Players like Adams don’t grow on trees. He single handedly won the Giants game and played a major role in the Dallas win. I realize he’s a safety but he’s probably going to be the top safety in the game if he isn’t already. JD would have to assume the draft picks acquired by trading him turn out to be just as good as he is ( at their position ). Every draft pick is not going to turn into an all pro - heck many of them turn into nothing.

I think JD should explore other avenues of trade whether it be other players ( not many in stock ) or trading down but not too far.

I’d like to see what exactly JD does this offseason in regards to both FA and the draft. If he truly knows what he’s doing the Jets can build a winner without trading Adams. He needs to hit on these draft picks.

Wouldn’t it be nice to have a capable GM?

Adams is a great player, but he didn't single-handedly win the Giants game. He couldn't even stop the defense from getting torched. If the Giants defense weren't awful, we could have gotten blown out.

The Jets wouldn’t have won the game if Adams wasn’t out there - he was the difference. Maybe not singlehandedly .....

You are right - a better Giants team would have won the game anyway.

I just think Adams is a keeper and a building block for a good young defense.

It’s just sad to see Bell lumped in with a guy like Barlow.

    That just shouldn’t happen.

The OL is poorly constructed and horrible. The team was built the wrong way and Bell is laying the consequences with the crappy stats. A lot of us saw this coming. And now that he’s hurt it’s probably not going to get better any time soon.

I was for trading Bell for a decent pick but It makes no sense to give Bell away and at the same time pay a portion of his contract....it does nothing for the team besides save a small amount of cap space they aren't spending anyway....this is the kinda move you make when you just want a locker room cancer off your team which Bell isnt.

Bell isn't getting any younger. Not sure if he can be fixed by the time we fix the OL.

On the plus side it’ll be hard to make the OL any worse then it is now. I can definitely see 3-4 new starters going into next season. Douglas has already made it clear that OL is a priority. That’s the main reason that I like him and have some faith.

If he's not better at drafting than the last 2 GM's, we're not going anywhere for the next several years.

Count on 3. I predict one FA starter and 2 high draft picks ....
