Last night, the Williams brothers wore Grinch costumes to the game and Uzomah wore bunny pajamas.

In the post-game show, Bart Scott and Willie Colon went ballistic. Their point was that this was the team's most important game of the year because the team's playoff hopes rode on the outcome. The focus, they said, should have been entirely on winning and not on clowning around.

What do you guys make of this?

On the one hand, it could be much ado about nothing. These are young guys, and having fun and winning aren't mutually exclusive.

On the other hand, Scott and Colon have been around, have played on winning teams and know what a winning culture looks like. To them, this pre-game clowning around is the opposite of a focused, winning attitude. It makes me wonder if this team has a lot more problems than Wilson. If we're honest with ourselves, we'll admit that the entire team didn't play well last night.

Could it be they knew they had no chance with Wilson starting? Might as well have some fun before what was sure to be a miserable several hours in the cold rain playing in a losing cause. Seems once the Boy Blunder came back from his "reset", the entire energy of the team simply vanished and it looked more like they were going thru the motions. It could be said the Jet season ended in the 4th qtr in Minn with Berrios dropped pass. It could also be said that the season ended when MW's ribs got BBQ'd up in Buffalo.

Point is, the '22 season is over but we do know now that Zach Wilson is not the FQB of the NYJ's. Pride not withstanding, JD and the CS have to start looking in a different direction at QB. I bet they're doing the math to see how bad the cap hit will be upon Zach's departure. If they chose not to move on from ZW, they will certainly lose the fanbase and even worse, the locker room.

Best for all concerned that Zach Wilson moves on and gets his "reset" in a different uniform and city.

Could be, but I come down on it being much ado about nothing. You want guys to be loose too. Quinnen and Quincy weren't bad though

Eh it’s not a huge deal. These guys aren’t robots. Football is supposed to be fun. As soon as you make it a dictatorship with no fun (especially on a middle of the road team) it starts to suck.

The Team has been a mess since the Mike F'in White shirts and the stupid Mighty Ducks jerseys before the Vikings

Ehh I wasn't offending by it. Defense played relatively well last night anyway. They didn't play an excellent game but did their jobs for the most part. If they gave up 35pts then yeah, I would've pissed with those shenanigans.

Fittingly, the Jets have gone from 'all gas and no brakes' to 'all tricks and no treats'.

I don't think its too big a deal.

Its probably not how I would handle it, but everyone stays loose in different ways.

There are no leaders on this team. Zach was absolutely bad and deserved to get benched after NE. With that said, the message and still the message is he is 100% of the problem. That is because there are no leaders on this team including the coaching staff. Everyone else can screw up all day and they get a pass. The team is pathetic. The defense was a complete joke last night. Jags did anything they wanted, controlled entire game. Drops, fumbles by WR. OLine is complete garbage. RBs run backwards. OC has the most erratic BS play calls I have ever seen. Needs to get his butt on the sideline.
This has been the same problems since the bills game. This has been masked by bad QB play by ZW. The team made a 22 year old the scape goat of their problems and know you have what we got last week and last night. Complete team failure. I keep hearing average QB play is needed, simply not true. The only QBs who could step into this team right now and turn it around are Peyton and Brady. The reason they could is they would simply not put up with the BS. The culture absolutely sucks. No accountability. No leadership.

Who the fuck cares? If you think this has any impact on how they performed on the field I don’t know what to tell you.

It’s called having a bit of fun.

Bart Scott and Willie Colon cared. Can we simply write off what they said? If some pundit had said this, I wouldn't pay much attention, but the opinions of Scott and Colon carry some weight.

How about during pregame keep heads into the tunnel yet some players are yucking it up with fans. Starts with the coach

    They’re old school.

Look back at what players wear into the stadium on Halloween week. Take a look at what players wear into the stadium on Saturday and Sunday during the games. It’s just what players do now. Complaining about a player wearing a Grinch costume is the most nonsense thing I’ve ever heard from two football analysts. Absolutely absurd.

What winning culture, there hasn't been a winning culture on this team since 2010, just another example for our moron coach letting players do whatever the fuck they want.

The entire team should have dressed as giant gaping assholes.

When I saw the Mike F*N White t-shirts I knew the inmates were running the asylum.
An average team that got cocky after a few wins and a coach unable to keep them focused.

Shamefully, they seem to be perfectly content with a 7 win season... and that sucks for the fans.
