Another epic collapse in Jets history.

    Heh.

In fairness, closing out with the 1993 Bills, Cowboys and Oilers was killer way to end the season.

I remember that so well. The Jets lost the second to last week of the season because of three missed Pat Leahy FG's. Then the last week of the season abuot 4-5 games go right for the Jets to have a chance to make the playoffs (including some late game Bledsoe heroics against the Dolphins). Then the Jets lay an egg against the Oilers. Typical Jets.

I remember that as well. That Oilers game was BRUTAL. The Jets looked like they had no interest in playing that week, so less making the playoffs.

  8. With the exception of perhaps 2008, this was one of the most painful jet collapses in the last 20 years.

I don't know what's worse, that the Oilers jackets were made by Apex One, the fact that Cody Carlson lit us up or that we recovered that fumble inside the red zone and still couldn't get points.

It wasn't Leahy. It was Cary Blanchard that missed the FGs in Buffalo.

Let's punch the giants right in the snout tomorrow! I'm sitting here in Cabarete D.R. and will be drinking a presidente and watching my team beat the giants! Let's go!

Oh man, I was at the Barcelo in Santo Domingo about 11 years ago drinking those with a few Italian businessmen and listening to the local girls show off their English at the pool. Good times.

I can see why Buddy punched the dumb ass. Buddy's D had just gotten off the field and 'about' to end the first half when Gilbride-the-fucking-dumb-ass decides to throw deep from his own end with less than a minute to play AND up by 14. Result: Sack Fumble, Jet Ball. I'd be pissed too.

Second point: Buddy and Gilbride were both coordinators when Buddy took his shot. Now 18 yrs later Buddy's kid has grown up, gotten a ring, and is a Head Fucking Coach of the best team in the enire NFL. And Gilbride? He's still a fucking coordinator. Ouch. Give it up Gilly.

That's definitely worth the investment in time needed to read it - it must have taken the writer weeks to research that piece. Thanks for posting the link.
