This matchup against the pats really was a bad surprise to me as a fan. They just know our system so well its so uncomfortable playing them. In your opinions what should the gameplans be for each side of the ball.

Don't turn the ball over or give up any big plays. Do some really good things on special teams. Make Brady put together 10+ play drives. Stop the run so that Brady has to throw to his crap wr's. The Patriots usually win because of Brady and their opponent usually beats itself eventually. Chad can't turn it over and has to play a good game. Remember we did beat them already this year so we just need to focus on the things we did well in that game.

The JETS need to commit to the run early and often. Pound it up the middle with Houston, and use Leon on mostly outside runs, passes, and the occasional run up the middle just to mix it up.

After we establish that we are committed to the run (not necessarily successful, but just consistent), use play action fairly often. Mostly short passes, with the occasional 30+ yard pass.

Basically, play smart and don't turn the ball over

Well we know their system probably just as well as they know ours, probably a little bit better. MAngini worked under Belichick, knows his tendecies. While Mangini and Belichick knew each other working together, Belichick has no, or very little, idea of how Mangini coaches, because he was never a coach when they worked together. To answer your first question.

Gameplan on Offense: This has got to be get the running game going and keep their offense off the field. Face it, the Pats pass defense is pretty good with ASante Samuel, and so are their linebacker corps (Harrison) but their line is a little weak. We need to get blockers up on the linebackers and break 5-10 yard runs alot to keep them off balance. Then, as usual, use the play action and go downfield.

Gameplan on Defense: We saw it against the Patriots in their game against us at Foxboro. Get Vilma, Rhodes, Barton, the whole freaking house at Tom Brady and make him throw before he's ready. That is the key. It worked before. Also, confuse him with different packages, coverages, man on one side zone on the other, fake blitzes, delayed blitzes, all of that. Keep him off balance.

Without question, the strongest part of the Patriots' defense is their line. Harrison isn't a LB, he's a safety (and it's 50/50 on whether he'll play or not).

    Mistake free football

we need to get off to a quick start; run the ball and then open up the play action pass.. You know Brady is gonna come back strong in the 4th quarter. I'm worried that NE knows our game plan and will blitz the shit out of us causing turnovers.

I agree with you for the most part. I dont think we need to gash them in the run game to be effective, but we do need to gain 3-4 yds a carry with some consistancy so we can set up play action passes. Also you should know that Harrison is a saftey, not a LB
