Yeah, Oakland-Houston is pretty much off to the start you would expect. Osweiler isn't any good, but Cook appears to be completely over his head. Really too bad for Oakland that it worked out this way.
Oaklands defense is not that great and Cook is in over his head..it's amazing how a good QB can cover up so many flaws.
If Oakland has any desire to stay in this game they pretty much have to put McGloin in at this point.
I'm surprised they haven't. Cook has made a few nice throws, but overall the offense needs a boost. Put the actual backup in.
Cook is overmatched, but his receivers sure aren't helping. Unless McGloin really is injured (in which case why is he dressed?) keeping Cook in there is just crazy.
Texans are going to get destroyed by the Pats. Oakland playing with their heads down. It was over at halftime, probably even before opening kickoff. Zzz
I hope Goodell is happy with what he's devolved the NFL into. This has been one of the worst playoff games I think I've ever seen. I like a good defensive struggle, but this isn't one. It's a meeting between two completely inept offenses.
Seems like NFL is pushing Houston. They probably want to push Indy, but Indy doesn't know how to build an offensive line to protect Luck. Luck is shot now. I wish the Jets were in this division. Colts, Texans, Titans, Jags. "Texans win the division again." Like that means something. Zzz Same old NFL
Agreed, but I can't for the life of my figure out why the NFL would push Houston. They're boring and have a pretty incompetent offense that is only being made to look presentable today because Oakland gave up before they even arrived in Houston. That and their $72 million QB has been benched twice in the past three weeks for some guy named Savage. No idea why they'd want to push the Texans, but I do agree that they most definitely are doing that.
Not really sure how Goodell is responsible for Carr getting his leg broken and the Texans being stupid enough to offer Osweiler $37 million guaranteed.
Makes sense. Maybe Goodell should focus on improving the product on the field. That would get Houston fans, and everyone else, more excited about this game.
