I'm from Buffalo and figured I'd drop by. I caught a couple of Jets games early in the season and they just seemed to click, watching the Pats game was probably the best I watched this season. I thought they'd do decent this season and here we are, maybe somewhat better than I expected obviously.

I always thought Fitzpatrick's problem here in Buffalo was the garbage offensive line and lack of receivers, heck it's the same thing Tyrod is dealing with having to scramble every play. He may not have the strongest arm but he can place throws pretty well, the only difference is now he has receivers capable of catching them.

The defense looks good. The team seems disciplined and in order. I wouldn't want to face them in the playoffs.

To me the Jets have that feel of a team that could go the distance if they get by Sunday, they just seem to be clicking on the right levels. I'm routing for them on Sunday, and I'm really tempted to go to the game despite the fact that parking sucks. I'm actually fairly confident the Jets will beat the Bills except I am a little worried about the weather which is probably going to be lousy based on the forecast. There were probably 5 inches snow at the stadium today, they forecast 8-10 tonight though the stadium is just north of where the snow band is now. On Sunday it's supposed to be windy and snowy. It may hurt the Bills more though because Tyrod likes to toss those deep balls.

Really hoping Jets do it, will make the playoffs much more interesting.

Well typed post! I have to think that if the weather is what it normally is at this time of year it really does favor the Jets. Especially with Shady being questionable. I think the combination of Ivory & Powell with a little sprinkling short to intermediate passes should sufficiently wrap up the season with a playoff berth. BUT, it is a divisional game...oh, and Rex Ryan's Superbowl so who knows. If you do go...stay WARM!!!!

Should be enough hot air coming out of Rex to melt any accumulation on the playing field.

You seem to be a pretty gracious Bills fan, which is a change from our other resident Bills fans. Welcome to the board.

If I was a Bills fan I would too. Remember the meaningless win last year that kept us from the #2 draft spot? It's best for the franchise if they lose.

Thanks for being the first Bills fan to not tell us Fitz is sh-t. I really appreciate that.

I'd rather the Jets win because they'd make the playoff picture more exciting.

All that's going to happen if the Bills win is Rex will just give his told you so speech and it won't do anything for the team or the organization. I know the Jets are better off without Rex but in Buffalo he's sadly an improvement over some of the coaching staffs we've had.

While I'll pull for the Bills because they're the local team, as a football fan in general I'll pick a couple of teams I like the looks of and follow them too. If it comes down to a situation like this I'm going to root for who really should win in my mind.

The reason I do that is because, as the Jets had been in many ways up until this season, they just making so many lousy decisions from the top down from coaching to draft picks. It gets irritating to see them draft these QBs who are busts, lose two seasons, ditch the whole coaching staff and repeat process. Look at EJ Manuel sure he can throw a ball deep, but he basically looks exactly where he's going to throw, he has bad awareness makes costly mistakes and they're still talking about keeping him around. I could understand the logic if they want to use him as a backup (because it's unlikely anyone will want him) but he's probably not going to win either so why bother?

I've always kind of liked Fitzpatrick simply because he'll try and get it done even if it means not sliding (though it's probably not the best of ideas). I think despite his lack of arm strength he would work well in the right offense (as he's doing now). What got him into trouble here was he was always trying to thread the needle to make it happen when the Bills simply never had the receivers capable of making those types of catches or with the a good offensive line (it was garbage most of the time he was here and still is). I should note that if you look back to when Fitz was in Buffalo, we basically only had Stevie Johnson as a receiver, one of the years Fred Jackson was hurt. In some ways they'd almost have been better off keeping Fitz for the entire duration of the contract they signed him to and shoring up other positions with the money they wasted on EJ.

I'm not sure Sunday is even going to be that interesting of a game. The Jets probably will win by a good margin based on what I've seen. McCoy is out. Tyrod is going to have to throw more, in what will probably be bad weather against a good defense. I don't think he will get away with all the scrambles. On the flip side the Jets offense looks in sync against a defense that was pretty bad two weeks ago (I skipped last week's meaningless game and watched Jets vs. Pats instead). Ivory is supposed to play from what I saw. If it's as windy as they claim it's going to be there probably won't be many field goal tries (if you've never been to Ralph Wilson stadium they've got it sunken down so far down when it gets really windy it has really weird airflow, if you're near the field it can almost feel like an updraft or downdraft). I'm guessing this ones gonna be something like 28-10 Jets. Hope I'm right,

I think you're right that it makes the playoff picture more exciting if the Jets get in. If I was just a Pats hater and not a Jets fan I would def hope that we get in over PIT. Steelers might have the better offense to stick with the Pats , but Brady would put a hurtin on their defense. Thats why the theory that Belichick wanted us in the playoffs over them was hilarious.

If you want to see a Super Bowl without the Pats , I think the Jets are the only AFC team right now that can go into Foxboro and win.

But we are better positioned to win now with Leonard Williams. We would likely not be doing this well with Mariota.

But long term we would have been geometrically better with Mariota.

    And I like like Williams.

And with the #7 pick in the 2016 draft, the Buffalo Bills select... Defensive end _____ ________.
Repeat that through 7 rounds, for 6 years.

I feel for ya up there.
