i just don't want to waste a high pick on a center (mangold or not) i would rather see kendall at center and draft a guard in the third round . lets use the first three picks on playmakers such as a rb a qb and yes im gonna say it a wr or te ......... lets draft o-line in the third or 4th round . here is some food for thought 1. #4 vince young qb
    2. #29 joseph addai rb
    3. r2#3 leonard pope te
now let me have jetsfans !

Not going to kill you on this...but this "Kendall for center" stuff I read around here...I understand he improved last year...but you really want Kendall to be your center? To build your offensive line around?

If the Jets dont draft a center, I wouldnt be happy going into this season with Kendall.

the problem is you can't have everything and i would rather have a vetern than a rookie at center

Kendall is a natural tackle, and he has struggled a bit as a center. Why would we unnecessarily force him to play a postion he is not too comfortable with?

Kendall sucks at center. How about a young guy that can stay at starting center spot and let Penny or whoever starts for us get used to him because we are still having ball handling issues at QB sadly.

We don't need to draft a tight end.

    Lets get A.J.

    Then Mangold.

Then whoever and pick up Croyle while were at it

We have far too many holes to be worrying about postitions like TE. Baker and Jolley may not be pro bowlers, but they are definitely sufficient enough to get us through a rebuilding year. Baker has shown some flashes of being a decent pass catching TE, and he's also a pretty decent blocker.

now whos gonna protect Vince...your plan isnt fool proof. We need to draft some OL before we invest in a QB...otherwise we could have another Penny in the making...even Vince Young cant run around 3 DLineman at once...especially in the NFL...this isnt college ball anymore!

I never said that it can't be done. All I'm saying is that TE is very far down the list of positions we need. I would take OL, QB, RB, DT, DE, WR, and LB before I even think of the TE position.

i just think a mobile qb with a rocket arm throwing to a big te that will give linebackers fits , then handing off to a speedy back when things open up may help us score more that's just me though!

as far as the o-line goes i think jones moore and kendall are fine starters this draft is deep with o-line we will have some good players left in the 3rd round and early second day .
