PLEASE....let's give the Jets a real home field advantage.
    - Be in your seat by 4:05, not 4:25
    - Don't boo at the first f!@#-up
    - Loud on D (we can make noise on first and second down too)
    - Quiet on O

I know this sounds silly, but having been to other stadiums, we can offer more of an advantage than we do. Don't wait for Firemen Ed to rile you up...make it loud!

It will be my first game ever, and my plan going into he stadium is to leave with my voice GONE.

I'm there as always...can't wait! Funny feeling Justin Miller takes one to the house. Just a gut feeling that came over me.

    Pathetic

I really regret that I can't be up in good ol NJ, but seeing these threads week in and week out is really disappointing...Why do people have to be told to be there on time and screaming their asses off...if you're there, you damn well better be excited!

I wish, for the life of me, I could figure out why people need booze to have a good time. I mean, to each their own, but I just can't figure it out.

Hey, to each his own I guess. I'm just totally against the idea of someone having more than the legal limit and then getting in their car after the game, putting the rest of us in jeopardy.

I don't have any problem with folks being social and tailgating before the game, even if that means having a beer or two.

I just can't understand how people aren't in their seats until midway through the first quarter. You only get 7 or 8 home games a year. If you're getting to your seats late why don't you just start tailgating an hour earlier?

Wish I was going, but that 4 hour ride is just too much for me again. I'll be there against the Raider's and I will be going to Monday Night game in Miami.

I used to be one of the boozers... big time. Back when you could bring in a thermos and sneak in beer under your jacket, we'd go in there really tanked up. Hot coffee in the thermos was spiked with Yukon Jack (100 Proof).

I don't do it anymore... my age I guess. I got tired of the headaches afterwards and there was more than one occasion on which I was driving out of the parking lot with one eye open so I could avoid the double vision. Smart, huh? That was back in the '80's. My drinking and driving stopped when I got pulled over on a routine DWI check and they let me go, even though I know damned well I was drunk as a skunk. I figured I was REAL lucky on that one and stopped drinking and driving altogether.

After I met my second wife, she had a calming influence on me and I tried going into the games with her sober a couple of times. Man, what a f*cking revelation! I could actually follow WTF was going on! I could see the f*cking plays! And I was having a great time too!

Nowadays I have maybe 2 or 3 beers, max, but I could even take or leave that. Then we leave the car about 12:30 and we're in our seats a little early, which is what I like. In the warmer weather, the drinking fans don't even know how much fun that is, to get there real early. An hour ahead of gametime you get to watch the warmups, which is a hell of a lot of fun. But you'll never know that if you'd rather be in the parking lot getting tanked out of your mind.

Anyway, yeah... the whole drinking-till-you're-drunk thing is ridiculous. But I can't condemn anyone, because in my youth I had been there and done that myself.

I'm 18. I would never ever considering going to a game drunk. the point of going to cheer and follow and root for your team, you lose all of that.

Nowhere does it say that I or anyone needs booze to have a good time. Do people drink when they celebrate? Every Sunday is a celebration especially a home game. Getting Buzzed and flat out drunk are two different things. I can't spend 5 hours in the Parking lot drinking Pepsi and twiddling my thumbs!

You're on the right track. Take it from me, you get so much more out of a game when you know what the hell is going on.
