Vinny Testaverde has the record. Fitz has 20 now. Think he can get there? Rank Player PSTD Season 1. Vinny Testaverde 29 1998 2. Joe Namath 26 1967 Al Dorow 26 1960 4. Ken O'brien 25 1985 Ken O'brien 25 1986 Richard Todd 25 1981 7. Chad Pennington 22 2002 Brett Favre 22 2008 9. Vinny Testaverde 21 2000 10. Joe Namath 20 1974
I sure as hell hope so. I love Fitz and think he is a perfect fit for us and our current situation at QB. I do expect him to come close. And I would be happy as hell to watch him break it
10 TD's in 5 weeks is a tall order, but he plays some shitty secondaries in NYG and Buffalo so I guess he can do it
Sanchez is tied for 2nd. But man I would love for Fitz to do it. He is the man! Forget Geno lolololol.
That's the thing. Sanchez is second all time, a glorified backup is trying to pass him. I'll be the first to admit I was wrong about Sanchez, he was a fucking mirage in a desert of shitty offensive teams. So is Fitz. When your top TD scoring QB is Vinny, you have some fucking problems.
wow. just goes to show how much the game has changed and how shitty we've had at it at QB. 29 as the leader has got to be one of, if not the lowest in the NFL. maybe we beat out a new team like Jacksonville or Houston, maybe
Was Sanchez left off the list on purpose? Yeah, you know the bar for Jets QB TDs is set pretty low when a stop gap comes in and almost sets the record or a backup like Sanchez could be tied for 2nd all time. That in itself is a joke. I hope Fitz breaks it, although I still feel Vinny is a better QB.
just noticed site stopped updating in 2011. Sanchez tied for 2nd yes. Sadly, I don't think any records have been broken since then. Brandon Marshall can possibly reach the most receiving tds too. Record is 14 and he has 9. 1434 receiving yards by Don Maynard is the record and he has 972 currently.
Of course but that is the hand we have been dealt as Jets fans. It awful that no Jets QB has thrown for more than 30 TD's in a season, but hey we can't control that. Just gotta be happy and thankful that we have the best QB behind center that we have had in 10 years.
In this day and age the best passing QB the Jets have ever seen is equal to the lowest average NFL passer in a passing league. That's not an accomplishment. What we should be waiting for is a QB to completely torch the crappy record our cobweb QBs could accomplish.
It's a bit sad if Fitz will hold our all time TD record, we really haven't had much luck in the QB position
Namath holds the record period..idiotic stats, doesn't matter if it's 12 games or 14 or 16 it's all the same, right?
Hey Don. I'll give you fifty bucks if you can name anything you just posted that wasn't posted like 5 hours ago.
