I'd be pretty pissed off too If that call was made against us. But- 1) lets not act like it took a win away from the Pats : no gimme that they would've driven down and won that thing. 2) They are probably the last organization that should be crying about a call, considering their dynasty was started on a joke of a call and they've been getting the benefit of the doubt for the better part of a decade now.
Steven A is one of my least favorite people in the sports bizz. Dude makes his money and name being loud and creating drama. That show is such a joke, yet it epitomizes what ESPN is now.... entertainment first, quality sports second.
At your point #1: exactly! Yes the game would have continued to play, but the Pats scored a total of 6 pts in the latter part of the game. We already stopped them on their first OT drive.
Shits Bayless predicted the jets would go 2-14 and here he is still on TV despite making an ass of himself misrepresenting the rule as it is written which says nothing about second level. the rule as shown on NFL.com does blubber about the second level but that is NOT the actual written rule sent to all 32 teams and the one that counts which says NOTHING about second levels. The media clowns and ESPNE in general should all be horsewhipped
and Stephen A for Ass Smith should be sentenced to ten years of having to watch 24 hour a day replays of hideous NBA basketball neither of those jackasses should be an a major television outlet of course, they aren't they are on ESP New England where kissing Belichick's ass is a daily requirement
Bayless/ESPN hates the Jets since they stopped the Tebow train and since Bayless wasn't a fan of Geno. Bayless almost never admits he is wrong, he's too stubborn. It took him like 7 or 8 years to finally give Lebron his due. He's like Francesa.
Why would anyone with half a brain waste time listening to anything Skip has to say. Ever. Waste of time of the highest magnitude. Robbed LOL ...NE has no business ever complaining about being robbed. They own the robbing others trade mark. Go back to your know nothing cave Skip.
I'd also be pissed if they hadn't made the call and Sportscenter or someone pointed it out on their show.
I dont mind what they're saying but he called Jets fans pathetic and thats unnecessary IMO I hate how refs are suppose to swallow their whistle or hold their flags late in games in that case just play the game without officials
I can't watch the link because I can't risk getting any dumber than I already am (and it's a known fact that watching Smith and Skip kills brain cells by the tens of thousands), but suffice to say... The Patriots did not get robbed. It was an odd call, but hey... its in the books. Nothing you can do about it now. I'm annoyed that some NE fans are griping about it. There's nothing more pathetic than a group of fans complaining about NFL officiating. It's never perfect, and sometimes you get the calls, sometimes you don't. Congrats to the Jets, they played a great second half. Even if the Patriots had somehow won it would not have been too gratifying... they didn't deserve it, and shouldn't have put themselves in that spot to begin with (depending on Folk missing a long FG). The Jets almost always play the Patriots tough, and that d-line of yours could be a nasty one. Good luck the rest of the way...
