D: Too much of anything, even Blitzing, is not a good thing.

    F. This defense has been consistently bad for 20 games now with the occasional adequate effort or lucky draw like the Texans or Raiders.

Nobody on the defensive line is performing at a high level and only Shaun Ellis is even average. The linebackers have been non-impactful as a group and that's unacceptable given that Barton and Thomas are back there, both hard hitters capable of creating turnovers. The secondary has played better than the other units but that's like comparing stale apples to rotten ones.

    F.

I'd give him a G if it were available.

I've been anti-Sutton almost the entire time this regime has been in place. Unimaginative is the nicest word I can use. F***ing atrocious sums it up better though.

He needs to be canned. Not at the end of the year, NOW.

If there was anything worse then an F, Sutton would get it.

I gave him a D, only because I think Mangini has a pretty big influence on how our failure of a defense is put together...

The D is an F, but I'm not going to put that 100% of Sutton

Honestly, I can't even figure out what Sutton does, so I can't really grade him.

Take heart my friends. Romeo Crennell may still get canned this year (anythings possible in Cleveland). If so, maybe he's our next d coordinator!

Firing Sutton won't change anything.... It kind of upsets me because we're going to have this same bull-crap defense with or without Sutton... Remember, he was on our staff before Mangini even came in.... I feel like he's just there to manage personnel...

Sutton will be the scapegoat, and the D won't improve much in 2008...
