Here is an interview with Fireman Ed He talks about how the J E T S chant started and why he does not do the chant anymore. Good stuff http://t.co/5Es7VYIuJn

I can't bring myself to type that I miss Fireman Ed so: Tell that bitch ass to go back and root for the Dolphins
His act went alittle too far.Bound to happen w/ the modern day media unfortunately. He didn't need a voice. His voice WAS the chant. I do wish Jet fans would go back to the rowdy days.It was more of a brotherhood. And boy that chant was special in person. No doubt it gave the Jets a homefield advantage.
I miss having him as the face of the fanbase. He is a die hard fan, and I was happy to have him as our unofficial leader in the stands. No matter the opponent or score, he was always firing us up for 3rd down defense and leading the chant. It's too bad other so called fans felt the need to force him to step down. If he did make another big screen appearance, I for one would welcome him back.
Get a load of this quote: “It’s definitely different not doing it. When you’re able to get 80,000 people up — and I was fortunate enough to do that — and not being able to do that, it’s tough, it’s definitely tough. I’d be lying to say that I left the way I wanted to leave. I left because it was time but that wasn’t the way I wanted to go out. I wanted to go out like any athlete; you always want to go out on top. I wanted to win a championship and go down the Canyon of Heroes.” He is in a Francesca-like delusional world where he thinks he is one of the players!! He wanted to win a championship?????? He wanted to go down the Canyon of Heroes????? For what??? This is why I couldn't stand the guy at times. Tell me this chant thing and the Jets anointing him as Mr. Jets fan did not go straight to his head!! He never deserved the attention he got over the other 80,000 of us who were just as passionate and loyal and dedicated, if not more, than he was. Just because he could sit on his brother's shoulders and spell JETS didn't make him as special as he obviously thought he was. And he never ever understood not to do the cheer when the Jets had the ball. Answer me this. How does a fireman afford to take trips to every away game? The Jets paid for this guy to go to away games. And for him to be provided the opportunity to speak (if you want to call what comes out of his mouth speaking) at rallies and at games as a representative of the fans was ridiculous and sometimes embarrassing. Good riddance. Let someone else pick it up from here.
Tell that bitch ass to go home and miss himself, I'm too lazy to do it for him. He can watch Dolphins games on his Samsung tablet, as long as he has the Optimum App.
Die hard fans don't take entire seasons off like he did 5-6 years ago because he had a boo boo knee. I just had my knee replaced a few months ago and I'm going to go to the games. Look, I don't advocate the abuse he supposedly took last year. In fact, it makes me sick. I see that mentality on this board with the unabashed hatred the fans have for Sanchez, forgetting that he is a person and is not trying to play poorly. Some fans take things way too seriously. Fireman Ed and the people who argued with him both fall into that category. This is entertainment. Everyone needs to lighten up on this board and at the stadium and just enjoy the experience of watching NFL football. You can be a dedicated fan without being an irrational psychopathic fan who hates some player. Want him to lose the job? Fine. Want him off the team next year? Fine. But to ooze hatred is kind of sick.
WTF this isn't entertainment! I've lost years of my life because of this team. Football or DIE!!!! You aren't a true fan it you're not an irrational psychopath!
