He's nothing special as a defensive coach, and what kind of leader intentionally cheap shots the opposing quarterback when the game is already over? Brant Boyer is the one coach on the staff who's consistently put together good units; make him the interim head coach, let Cooter run the offense, and promote one of the position coaches to DC. Worst thing that happens is the position coach sucks, and we give up more points. Wait, did I say worst thing? I meant best thing. #TankForTrevor

Honestly I wish the Jets would cease operations and fold the organization.

Giving up 37 points to that Broncos team is a fireable offense by itself.

Not defending the defense’s performance, but not apologizong either for the end of that game. McClendon is not that type of guy, and let me ask u this, what moron is dropping his qb back in that scenario. Take a goddamn knee! The derelict on the NFL network Steve Smith was spewing the same BS.

    Exactly.

Fazio called that Timeout at the end and kept running plays to deny us the ball. Sorry, not sorry.
He put his QB in that situation. He was trying to be cute and almost got his guy killed.

Agree with OP. This guy is an asshole. I've been a Jets fan for 45 years. I can root for lovable losers, but not pantomime villains like this team.

I'm hoping they keep the Gase Williams junta, go 0-16, and try again with Trevor Lawrence and a new coaching staff. The Johnsons are buffoons but all we can do is hope those blind squirrels find a nut.

#33 sure is missed around here.

Our defense is now unwatchable without him.

Face it. Jamal Adams was the only player who played like he gave a damn once on the field.

    Fk JD.

Gregg Williams has been exposed without Jamal.

Getting rid of Gase and Williams would be a breath of fresh air if nothing else.

On the contrary, I found his candor and authenticity extremely professional, as opposed to the vindictive bush league shit from Williams.

interesting choice of words, because VINDICTIVE would be the perfect adjective to describe Smith’s rant

I mean, he's a former player. Better positioned to speak to it than you or me.

no doubt, but he went off the rails there...clearly he has some personal vendetta with GW...

if it was some rookie trying to make a name, ok... im just not buying it with McClendon...tbh, quite a few of the personal fouls were BS tonight

The problem will then be who picks the new head coach who will be in charge of getting the O and D coordinators?
If it is the owners we have seen already many times what will happen. If it is JD and we were to judge by his free agent signings we will probably end up with another bottom of the barrel head coach. Is there one free agency signing of JD that has panned out? Not the two middle O linemen which have been horrible. Fant has been maybe OK not terrible. What about Khalil and letting Winters go? And offensive line is supposed to be his specialty.

Yeah cause Pierre Desir and Lamar Jackson would look so much better with a different coordinator

his best pass rusher is a guy named Franklin-Myers

I wish the same - I cant realistically go support another team after 35 years but if the team ceased to exist - perfection - KC Chiefs here I come!
