Peter King Hints That Patriots Monitor Visiting Team's Locker Room at Gillette Stadium by Jill Seward on Sat, Nov 20, 2010 at 2:51AM 20 Do you like this story? This takes "Spygate" to a whole new level. According to a recent report by Sports Illustrated's Peter King, the Indianapolis Colts feel they are not quite alone in the visitor's locker room at Foxboro. King says he has "reliably" heard that quarterback Peyton Manning and offensive coordinator Clyde Christensen always step into the concourse hallways to discuss strategy for fear they will be overheard in the locker room. "If you're outside the locker room Sunday, don't be surprised to see Manning and his first-year coordinator, Christensen, huddling for a few minutes," King wrote, listing the Manning-Christensen huddle as one of the top things he'll be watching for this weekend. The hint that the Patriots may be monitoring the visitor's locker room has yet to spark any real controversy in the league, and will hopefully be written off as mere suspicion by the Colts. This wouldn't be New England's first brush with the NFL's "no recording devices rule," however. In 2007, Patriots head coach Bill Belichick was fined $500,000, while the Patriots' organization received a $250,000 fine for illegally filming the signals of New York Jets coaches in the season opener. ats_suck:ats_suck:ats_suck:
this really shouldent suprise anybody. BB was on the verge of being fired in 2001 before "goldent boy" 6th round pick stepped in and shocked everybody with his amazing QB play. The only problem with that is, it wasn't really brady shocking the world and being something no1 thought he could be....it was BB desperately trying to keep his job and going to great lengths to do so...3 tainted SBs and a "SPYGATE" theory later, u have the end product.
This is special............... You can't film the other teams practice so you tape them in the locker room. LOL
They aren't trying to cheat. They are just recording opposing locker rooms so Brady has new j/o material.
Nothing like some locker room footage of big sweaty men to bring some respect and class to the Patriots organization...
They get to see a bunch of men changing and the opponent's make their halftime adjustments. Win-Win for the Patriots*
Who in their right mind would believe this? What next the Pats taping signals and the teams walk throughs .... come on man.
As Al Davis would say .. "Just win baby" .. I want more of this, competitive edge .. I wish they would of thought of this earlier ..
Take this FWIW - but I heard through some sources that teams in the past have complained about fire alarms mysteriously going off in the middle of the night in their hotels on game days when they visit the cheaters. Again, take that FWIW - but there is so much stuff that comes out about Belicheat and company you have to wonder how much cheating is going on. I mean you don't hear about these type of allegations against other teams.
as much as id love to run with this as a jets fan, i dont buy the story for a second, if there truly was any merit to this someone from the nfl would have swept the lockeroom for bugs already.
wow thats just plain wrong. I would be embarassed if the Jets were caught doing this. Then to double up I would be even more embarassed if my fellow jets fans thought it was ok.
