    I have been MIA most of the summer, lots going on, very busy, but I feel a return is necessary here. The Jets setting new records, season over before August. That's impressive even for them.

    Just saw this.. Fields is snakebit. I've never seen a kid with so much bad juju associated with his career. I'm starting to think he's just not meant to be a NFL QB. Karma keeps jumping in every time the kid gets an opportunity. This season had very low expectations coming in so, losing Fields isn't the catastrophe it appears to be. Locks us into one of the "great QB Class" of '26. Also buys time for Glenn and Mougey to get their feet wet in their first year piloting this albatross of a NFL team.

    NFL.com was saying it’s a toe injury…so who knows?

    Crazy if it’s an Achilles…what are the fucking odds??

    Fields suffered a toe injury on right foot, per Glenn. No word on severity. #Jets
    Glenn believes someone stepped on Fields’ toe. He did not specify which toe. He did not say whether Fields will have an MRI.
    @RichCimini

    Im hoping worst case broken toe, misses training camp and maybe misses a game or 2.

    I hope its nothing serious but it would be 110% on brand for it to be a season ending injury before the season even starts - its like 2023 all over again.

    Talking about it in the camp thread. Dislocated toe, not big toe, probably out 2-3 weeks. Dodged a bullet but lower body injuries are never good when your entire value is based on what you can do with your legs.

    Thread title changed. Seems clear it's not an Achilles. One little piggy won't be having any roast beef. News at eleven.

    Some relief for #Jets fans: Justin Fields’ toe injury is not significant and he shouldn’t be sidelined that long, per source. They’re hopeful that he will be ready for Week 1 against the Steelers.

    I need to look at the sunny side of this: no chance of getting all whooped up about the playoffs after a lights-out half of one preseason game.

    I do like Justin Fields, though. Was really looking forward to seeing that one half.

    Story update: Fields avoided serious injury, listed as day-to-day by the #Jets. Maybe the football gods are finally smiling on them.

    People acting like Fields is our #1 draft pick and not a placeholder QB for a throwaway season.

    Im hoping he will turn into our qb of the future. He has shown promise. I mean if Geno Smith can turn into a decent QB then anything is possible.
