When attempting a comeback the defense knows you will prolly be passing and so the ability to buy time with your legs becomes even more important. Favre has no leg left, he's a statue back there. I think the team would have been better off in the second half with Ratliff. Its time to take of the homer glasses and look at Favre for what he is really giving us this year. He gives us great leadership, great short passing, no mobility and he gets goofy on deep sideline passes. The last two mean he cannot be the Captain Comeback Jet fans long for.

you're correct about the lack of mobility but an idiot for saying we would've been better off with Ratliff.

I can't agree. He never really tried to run it and he showed decent mobility in the pocket. He was off on quite a few of his throws, however, which hurt.

how about the fact that every hurry up opportunity we had a fucking bronco was rolling around on the field like a bitch?? like 5 plays straight after a completion it happened when it was still a game.

You knew Favre has no mobility when he came in here. the fact is with Farve and the short passing game we are rarely needing a "Captain Comeback"

I think the Broncos flopping on our no huddles hurt us and we had a good amount of drops (like the big one by Cotchery). I also didn't like some of the playcalling. I think what hurts us most on offense is the inability of our receivers to create much seperation. I'd like to see Clowney given some playing time. Favre isn't going to run down field for a bunch of yardage, but he does make defenders miss in the backfield to buy time.

Yeah we have some of the slowest receivers of any football team in the league. I can't believe some people were saying they were top 5 in the league.

Also, Cotchery is the only WR that actually GOES for jump balls. He dropped the one today but at least he tried. Coles wouldn't even jump for it unless it was right in his lap

I don't think the Jets signed a Future Hall of Fame 39 year old passing leader for his swift legs. Hell, at that age, he'd have trouble getting a panty hose commercial.

You also have to realize it's getting late into the season and at his age, the hits start to pile up. Especially for a guy who has played as much as he has in his career. Hopefully, we can clinch early and give him some rest down the stretch.

Disagree. Play calling, drops, fumbles, and an absolute garbage performance by the D cost us much much more than Favre's lack of mobility.

Mobility or its lack had nothing to do with this loss. If he were a statue he would be sacked. The guy has lightening release. If you need a qb to run you got problems.

"If you need a qb to run you got problems."

Worse, if you need a QB to run, you're a college team.

I'd say that the whole team just went into a funk with this crappy weather. Shannahan came in with a lot more at stake then us and of course they Love to beat the NY Jets. So I think that the Jets just didn't care as much as the Broncos today.

That said, there is really no reason to worry too much about them. Its gotta be hard keeping up the intensity that the NY Jets have been playing with for the last 5 weeks. So now they can breath easier and go out and play some good football

Especially with four first round picks on the line.
