https://www.newyorkjets.com/news/which-teams-will-the-jets-play-in-2019 It's early to start thinking wins & losses but looking at our schedule I believe there are 4 home games & 4 away games that are very winnable.HOME= Giants, Bills, Dolphins, Raiders. AWAY= Bengals, Dolphins, Bills, Washington. We would have to steal 2 more for a probable wildcard= Browns, Jaguars None of the 10 teams were playoff teams! Gase is known for winning one score games, 20W vs. 6L while coaching Miami, & Williams is known for playing hard for 60 min....no prevent defense. The Jets loose to many 1 score games. Maybe the new CS can get us those few games a year that we say "we should have won that game". With a few good FA's & a good draft & Sam with 1 year under his belt, I don't think it is that far a reach to think we can beat these teams.
I hear you. But honestly this isn't the year for me to make win/loss calculation. I am not going to pull a Chris Johnson but considering our potential franchise QB will only be 22 years old, I am OK with Darnold showing significant improvement over making the play offs
ah, that time of year where fans try and predict records before FA and the draft. That Jets-Browns game will be a headliner for sure, might have to go to the stadium for that one
I'll wait until after FA and the draft to assess how good the team is and how many games they can win.
Gase actually went 20-6 in one score games not 25-6, but he was 3-20 games decided by more than one score , the Dolphins also had the most missed field goals against them over the 3 seasons and only had 3 missed themselves which would have reversed alot of those close wins. He was also terrible on the road 7-17 Very mediocre. 10 wins and a playoff apperance should get Mac executive of the year.
Yeah, looking at any teams schedule at this juncture to determine W/L is honestly a waste of time. Count me in for waiting until around preseason time.
That game is juicy for sure. I think for obvious reasons the Giants/Jets game is gonna be intense. Barkley and Darnold will go at it again for the 1st time since the Rose Bowl. I would be shocked if Jets/Giants this year isn’t primetime. That game should always be prime time.

Agree 100%. This team will look drastically different in a month and then two months to really figure it out along with the other teams. Can't predict now. If we did we'd be 0-16. Currently at center and one guard we'd be lucky if we had a subway turnstile there. Darnold would be destroyed. Who else is he passing too. We're really not that good to predict. Plus the holes on the d-line. We have three players. We'd be giving up huge rushing yards and we don't have two cbs. We have many holes and we are really bad. 0-16 as of today.
I have to agree. There is still the draft and lots of FA money to spend. I won't even attempt to predict this until we have a better idea of the Roster. Wins that look easy now could easily be the opposite when the time comes.
