wow, seems obvious I know for all of you genius prognosticators out there, but the reality has set in now that delusions of grandeur of the Jets making the playoffs are officially over... this team read too many press clippings, we have a coach who does nothing all day but look constipated as if he needs to take a crap, kickoff td killed us, they went to the well AGAIN with Smith and he f'd up AGAIN...the secondary is a joke and we can't rush the passer...

we're all venting today,, but like a loved one on a respirator we hope they will come out of it,,,, reality,

I'm sorry, we did all we can do...sorry for your loss

We're good enough to make the playoffs, and i think the team might regroup and do just that.

But what is clear to me is that there is enough talent on the team -relative to the talent i have seen on other teams throughout the league- to be better than they are. Not just in terms of what the record is, but in how they play the game, the way the talent is used, the schemes, the gameplans.

If people cant see by now that this entire CS (except for Westhoff) functions with its head up its ass, you will never see it.

IMO I like Mangini and his ability to evaluate talent and come up with a game plan... it's the OC and DC jobs to effectively translate that game plan to the field.

In only a couple years Mangini has built a solid team with a lot of talent and depth with only a few minor errors in between. Drafting has been nothing to complain about, and the FA acquisitions are working out good so far.

I think I someone post that if Shotty gets a job as the CLE head coach they wished that he would take Brien with him... and I really couldn't agree more. He is way too inconsistent/terrible with his play calling.

As for Sutton, he just doesn't seem to get the D fired up at all. We need a guy who can light a fire in our team on the CS.
