But honestly want team in the NFL has solid CBs as their 3rd and 4th CBs? Lowery and Coleman would be 4th and 5th with Revis playing. Lowery is an average #3 CB. Its understandable to go crazy about our CBs if one of our starting 2 was awful (Sheppard) But to rant about us not having quality depth at our 3rd and 4th CBs (4th and 5th with Revis back) is a little ridiculous, what team in the NFL has quality CBs after their #3 CB?
Did anybody see Donavan Warren play last night....i didn't see him take the field....did I miss something?
We definitely need to cut Coleman loose and trade for a good nickel / dime CB if we are going to beat the Colts this year.
The main reason the Jets lost to the Colts in the Champ game was because of lack of depth at cb. Yeah, it was against the best qb in the league, but still. The point is this is a team with SB on its mind. Average #3 cb will not get it done, imo, at least not if the Jets have to get past Indy again.
100% agree. I still don't know why we let Strickland go, even considering his injuries. I'll take Strickland for half a season over Coleman for a full season.
The Key to your rant is "WITH REVIS BACK".... With Revis back, I don't think anyone is complaining - As a matter of fact it's probably the best CB crew in the NFL. ..with Revis back.
...We don't have enough CBs... Too thin. Cro, KDub, Lowery, Coleman, and rookies (Warren, etc) You have to set it up as if Revis is no longer here cause he may just sit out the whole year.
He was on the field in the fourth but playing safety. Maybe he surprises but I wouldn't count on a undrafted rookie (no matter how promising he was a year or two ago) to contribute.
Just some of what I saw from the CB's: Cro - where's the idiot Phins fan who told me the guy can't play man? Couple times I had to double-check the jersey number to see if Revis snuck in. Should've had two picks. Kyle - Should've had a free sack that would have been sportcenter-worthy. Good coverage, better tackling. Lowery - You can't really blame that sideline catch on him, that was just amazing. Plus he got mugged in the face with no call. Still think he makes a better safety. Coleman - Has got to fuckin go. "The missing man" - I was hoping Woody would've slid Eli a cool million under the table so he'd throw a couple ducks to Wilson and scare the shit out of Revis. Maybe he tried and Eli refused, thus the busted grill hmy: As far as did the game help either side's argument, I'd call it a draw slightly in favor of Revis. I was kinda disappointed we didn't see much of Warren, nor did I hear a word about Pool all night. Overall the one's looked great, the two's looked like Pop Warner.
If Drew Coleman doesn't get cut this preseason....I'm going to start questioning Tanny's intelligence.
Lowery is not a bad corner. First of all, he was held and blinded by Cruz. Secondly, it was one play. Lowery is a fine #3 CB.
is it just me or was dwight lowery getting burnt all night? i hope he steps it up cause he looked awful last night!
And they added a first round pick in Robinson. Far more importantly they had the best offense in the league.
