I come not to praise Stephen Smith. But not to bury him, either. First of all he did not say the Jets are a playoff team or are likely to be. He said if Geno Smith can continue to play like he did last night, the Jets could be a playoff team. Big difference. On the fg thing, if it's third down and the ball is hiked but not kicked, I thought they could go for it again. No? Clearly if its third down and the ball is kicked, the ball goes back to the other side if it's a missed Fg (or on a kickoff if it is made). But maybe I am wrong. If he really meant you could kick it twice, he's wrong, but I don't know he said that.
I think Stephen A. is entertaining but he's not the one I go to when I want some expert football opinions.
When Geno was at WV he had to put up 40 - 50 pts a game because their defense was horrible. The jets have a way way better defense as to where Geno needs only to keep us turnover free and to just throw a couple of TD's like last night. Skip bayless has no credibility after his Tebow love affair and at least S.A.S knew that he is god awful and argued the fact that teblow would be right where he is . Out of the NFL.
He is now starting to backtrack and saying that LAST YEAR'S team was a circus. He's a doofus and therefore you can't take anything he says seriously. _
Hey, everyone and his grandmother were all quick to cite that the Jets were a terrible team. Mel 'the draft genius' Kiper, said , and I quote " The Jets are the worst team in the NFL", during the April 2013 draft. I nearly fell off my sofa when I heard of it , and took a mental note. It's laughable because people think that a person/player on a TV show can make a prediction, and they feel it's the same as Moses coming down off the mount with the 10 commandments.
I concur The man that declared us one of, if not the worst team, all offseason. Fuck all the naysayers.
