http://m.espn.go.com/general/blogs/blogpost?blogname=afceast&id=56496&src=desktop ESPN is again downing us like always I undestand we won't be anywhere close to a good team but 2nd to last? I can name 3 teams worse then us right off the top Patriots - #5 Dolphins - #19 Bills - #28 Jets - #31 It's OK when we shock the world and shove this predictions down people's throats it will be different for now I'll take the criticism and unnecessary posts blogs about their opinions because the jets are playing it smart and not giving them facts and ammo so they have to make the public think we are clueless and everywhere with the revis situation even though we are just being patient with it if we weren't the NYJ none of it would be a big deal
http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap10...ings-49ers-claim-no-1-amid-free-agency-frenzy This one has Dolphins at 18 and Jets at 26
Jets were 6-10 last year and that was with a horrible OC, now WR, best TE injured, best CB injured, and a LB corp that was too old to be every down players. At worst they will be 6-10 again, but if the front 4 show improvement and the ability to get to the passer more frequency without sending an extra man the defense will be improved from last season. The offense can't get worse.
Last year poll said we were the 2nd most unliked team This says we are the 2nd to last worse team.....ironic
Our real long term goal should be getting the #1 or #2 pick in the 2014 draft. Johnny Football or Bridgewater turns this franchise around. It's as simple as that.
Not gonna happen. We will not be tanking this season which means we won't have a high enough pick for either
I have a very hard time reading polls at this time of the year. My concern right now is what happens with Revis and looking forward to the draft. And praying the GM stays the course with getting this team younger.
We may not need to tank this season. We may actually just be THAT bad. Also a lot can happen between now and next offseason and maybe we end up finding a way to get a top 2 pick.
As much as we all may hope that one of those two can turn a franchise around, nothing is guaranteed. Many people on here say that eather of those two will turn this franchise around, but its not a sure thing. QBs get drafted every year at the top of the draft and bust year in and year out. I'm happy that experts are putting us as the second worst team in the NFL. I don't see hoe anyone can say that the Jets will be worse than every other team in the NFL other than one.
Im fine with #31. If there ever is a year to do bad its next season. Manziel, Clowney, Bridgewater are all going to be absolute stars for the next decade.
This is what we've lost (feel like I missed something though) Offense: Keller Greene Brandon Moore Matt Slauson Defense: Scott Pace Landry Bell Po’uha DeVito But how many of them really matter? Is the team radically worse on offense without Greene or Keller? Probably not. We could use some o-line help, but it's not like we just lost Mangold. On defense the loss of Landry hurts. DeVito, Bell, Po'uha all played well but were not pro-bowlers. Getting rid of Pace and Scott will probably end up being an upgrade.
Bahahahah!!! 31? We were 23rd with Sanchez playing terrible, and our top 3 playmakers injured most of the year. Everyone hates the Jets. What else is new.
Power Rankings in March are really stupid, but don't act like you are surprised or that the media is picking on the Jets.. As of March 19th, 2013 - The Jets roster is worse than last season and probably the worst a Jets roster has looked in close to 15 years. If I was making a power ranking as of right now, I'd have them at or near the bottom as well. Fortunately, the Jets don't play tommorrow afternoon and they got a lot of time to strengthen the roster.
