They traded up for a freaking tightend. I'll guarantee you this move works out poorly about 80% of the time when performed by the average NFL team. When done by the Jets? Tsunami in the Meadowlands coming up.
I really did not know that their is a law that FOREVER when draft a TE it is a bust. I suggest you read up about this guy. He ia 3rd receiver who will give us the threat we need and go the distance. You might want to look around the league at the new breed TE's.
See Jolley, Doug in the dictionary and come back and explain that one to me. I am on pretty solid ground. Especially when you take into account that this offense doesn't throw to the TE despite Chris Baker "having the best hands on the team." It is a completely stupid pick, even more stupid given that they wasted a pick to trade-up for a player they won't even use in their offensive game plan.

Kurt, they traded a 4th round pick to move up and take an under-sized TE when as others have pointed out they can't use the damn TE's they already have on the roster properly. H-back is a bad place to put somebody who cannot drive block to lead block out of the backfield and one of Dustin Keller's main flaws is he cannot drive block well. He gets lousy leverage when he's locked up with somebody. That was Doug Jolley's problem also, BTW.
