I find that Draftdaddy.com often has some good analysis, much better than the "glamor" draft guys like Kiper and McShay who are too busy doing interviews to conduct meaningful analysis (which leads to them thinking we'll take a receiver on day one or a CB in the 1st because they only look at our surface needs, not our long term plan). Below is who they have us taking, which could be pretty accurate at the end of the day: DD.comment: While we realize predicting a 7th round draft is impossible, we did our best to match team needs and the best available prospects. Also, we listed the players by team (not 1 to 225) in order to make this mock easier for our readers to digest and post in cyberspace. We think this mock is good for starting debates on N.F.L. team message boards.....Also, we corrected some errors we originally had with the 49ers' and Chargers' draft boards. 25 N.Y. Jets -- Justin Blalock, OG, Texas:up: 59 N.Y. Jets -- Brian Robison, OLB, Texas:up: 63 N.Y. Jets -- Antonio Johnson, DE, Miss. Statehmy: 89 N.Y. Jets -- Jonathan Wade, CB, Tennessee:up: 164 N.Y. Jets -- Dane Uperesa, OT, Hawaii 177 N.Y. Jets -- David Ball, WR, New Hampshire
As a student at Northeastern University. I saw David Ball play NEU one week to an OT game. Il tell you guys after watching him this season in our conference, he could be a Marques Colston/diamond in the rough
http://www.gbnreport.com/2007projection.html Their day 1 Mock draft: 25 Greg Olsen TE Miami, 6-6, 255, 4.50 59 Brandon Mebane DT California, 6-1, 310, 5.15 63 Fred Bennett CB South Carolina, 6-1, 195, 4.46 89 Andy Alleman OG Akron, 6-4, 305, 5.08 Switch Quinn Pitcock for Brandon Mebane and I wouldn't mind this draft. Quinn Pitcock 6-2.5, 300 4.93 Ohio State * Still hoping for my long shot pick: Walter Thomas DT 6-4, 370 NW Missouri CC
I don't like Antonio Johnson a whole lot, but other than him, that draft is great. I absolutely love the David Ball pick.
Man, I need to brush up on my draft prospects .. only guy I've heard of is Blalock so I'm not even sure how I feel.
**Alright, this thread has kind of faded out and is very similar to many on the draft page. Further discussion can continue there**
I totally knew you'd say that JFiPA... you and I think a lot alike in these mocks. I'm working on a 3RD mock that should go up sometime tomorrow. As for the above, I also do not care for the Johnson pick, but everything else, especially David Ball are on target. Instead of picking Robison then Johnson, we should go for a 2nd round tier corner at 2b and address depth at safety or possibly another corner in 3. Overall, not bad.
i dont like brian robinson that much, i watched him a couple times. missed some tackles he should have had, etc.
would anybody like to see Brian Robison get his clock cleaned and polished??? he is a very good olb he would do wonders on the jets http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GPvu-5sT87Y
