With the schedule we'll be lucky to win 5 games.

Have to go O-line with at least 2 of the top 3 or 4 picks. The line is as bad as its been in a long time.

Mangold looks like a really solid smart center who can play right away.

Lendale White would be hard to pass if he ever slipped to #29 but I'd rather have mangold and a second tier RB than Lendale and no center.

Mangini's sack by committee ain't gonna work here. he should commit a high pick on a pass rusher.

If we can't get a good TE out of this draft we should stop trying. I don't like Baker or Jolley one bit. Giving up a good draft spot for Jolley was really dumb.

We're way overtaxed in New Jersey. The product of liberalism run rampant and unions with no conscience. Clowns are actually trying to blame Republicans who have almost ZERO impact in the People's Republic of NJ in a long, long time. Christie Todd Whitless was a liberal, btw.

Let me try to replicate the logic flow from the first poster in this thread...

-Jet's have to get young and thus should amass as many picks as possible, perhaps trading down to 7 or 8 in first round and picking up extra 2nd

-Tight end shouldn't be so bad with Baker back who can block and showed flashes last year. Jolley may be better this year after a transition year with Brooks throwing most of the catches. Remember his 60 yarder versus Miami?

-I go back and forth between Dunkin Donuts and Starbucks coffee. Both have their merits. Dunkin Donuts is more of the working man's brew but with some sophistication, while Starbucks is ultra-sophisticated but sometimes too strong and "out there".

I couldn't agree more on the center and 2nd tier back. In fact, I would love to get a acenter and a right tackle and no back.

Why won't Mangini's sack by committe work? It works in Pittsburgh, San Deigo, New England, hell, even Indy to a degree.... Why can't it work here? Barton, Vilma, Ellis, (insert defensive draft pick), Justin Miller, Kerry Rhodes are all capable of getting sacks if put in the right position.

    (1) I think our schedule looks like more than 5 wins to me, although I really haven't broken it down. But no one will be able to even give a reasonable guess on this until we find out who we drafted, who we picked up in F/A and how they all gell in camp, so to do so now is an excersize in mental masturbation.

    (2) We do need youth. Our coach is so young, I think it's inevitable that the he'll surround himself with youth. This probably contributed to Mawae's departure and others who might in some small way be seen as a hindrance to Mangini being accepted as the true leader of the team, despite his youth. And I'm okay with that..., the sooner it happens, the better.

    (3) Mangold at #29 is far better than White at #29, IMO.

    (4) We do need a pass-rusher. We need to address that as early as possible in the draft, although after our first three picks.

    (5) I need one more season with Baker to evaluate him at TE. Jolley? I'm hoping he comes through finally, but he's got to know this is his last stop if he doesn't produce. Dreesen is a more than adequate backup and provides great competition for the job in camp. For those reasons, I'm set at the TE position for this year. No need to address it in the draft or in F/A.

    (6) Mobil One Synthetic Oil is far better than regular motor oils, IMO. I use it all the time in my Chevy Tahoe and wouldn't be without it. My Tahoe takes 5W30, by the way. Sure, it costs a little more, but it takes a lot more heat and reduces friction much better than other motor oils. You might want to take this into consideration in your next thread.

Schedule, schmedule, its April, nobody knows how any team is going to do next year, and tahts including the Jets.

As for the line, were a virtual guarantee to pick up a tackle relatively high, and its a pretty safe bet that were picking up an interior lineman somewhere on the first day. I dont think theres even sense in debating it, we clearly just dont have five starting caliber offensive linemen.

I think we could definetely stand to add a player for the front seven with some more pass rush potential. Ellis can get to the quarterback (every other year he piles up sacks, and last year was clearly his down year), Robertson has some pass rush ability... after that, we dont really have anybody whos known for their ability to pressure the quarterback. If we drafted Mario Williams at the four slot and played a 4-3 defense, I think wed be in real good shape. But plenty of teams manage to get a pass rush without having a 15-sacks-a-year player.

I find that the yellow cheddar is better than the white. White cheddar has a lot less flavor I feel, and it seems kinda dry sometimes. Sometimes the white tastes like I left it out of the refridgerator too long, even when I didnt. I prefer a sharp yellow chedder cheese, and if I can make a recommendation, get yourself some pretzels, and put the cheese on the pretzels. Youll be glad you did.

    1) Brick and Mangold would be a dream.
    2) Lendale would be fairly easy to pass on IMO, especially if Mangold is on the board.
    3) Why not??
    4) If we draft a TE I will repeatedly punch myself in the face, repeadly, over and over, many times repeatedly.
    5) I like to get lunch at the same place every day. Not the same thing, but the same place. They have really good food and the prices are great.

This thread kinda reminds me of one of those tests in grade school:

Which of the following does not belong?

    (1) Apples
    (2) Oranges
    (3) Peaches
    (4) Pears
    (5) Manhole Covers

We can get Oline at 2 of the top five picks and still get playermakers
Mangold should be a first year starter
To me White would be easy to pass on we do not need another powerback (as stated in another thread)
Adding a great pass rusher to a sack committee is a big help - Williams at #4
If we can get a good TE at #35 it would be hard to pass up. I do not like Baker or Jolley
Try living in Broward County Florida the cost of housing has more quadtropled (how ever it is spelt) in the last four years and the pay scale is lower. No extra money to spend on strippers.

I would love that draft. Except I would prefer Brick to Williams, but I wouldn't throw myself off a bridge if they drafted Williams.

I like chicken. It is my favorite meat. Whenever I go to a restaurant I always get chicken. I like beef, pork and lamb too, but chicken is my favorite. All types of chicken, fried chicken, grilled chicken, buffalo wings (yes those are chicken and not buffalo, buffalo don't have wings silly), roasted chicken, chicken fingers, chicken salad, chicken and mushrooms, chicken soup, chicken in cheese sauce, chicken parmesan, all kinds. A turducken isn't really chicken, btw.

It's kinda like those "subliminal ads" they were experimenting with awhile back in television programming. You're watching the History Channel and they sneak in flashes of "Drink Pepsi... Drink Pepsi," like it's really gonna make you run out to the store and get some right away. WTF?
