Well...then i quit watching football and start watching lacrosse.

I would rather select a "reach" at #6 (Stewart or Mendenhall for example) then take Clady.....

    If Clady's the pick....there will be a riot....and chances are...I'll start it.

I could think of worse things than stacking talent on the offensive line. If you quit watching football because of a draft pick... well, then you're a twerp of a fan.

Clady Stewart and Mendenhall are not reaches, by any stretch of the imagination. Have you just been released from solitary?

I love his reasoning too. "Oh my god, we didn't plan for all of the players we wanted being taken. Oh my god. WTF do we do?"

ummm..you draft for depth in the later rounds...not with the 6th pick overall...c'mon dude, are you fucking new here? You're smarter than that.

Of course i'm exagerrating..I'll die before i stop watching football....but still....

are you gonna stand up and clap if the Jets take Clady?.....I'm pretty sure you'll get lynched.

Are you kidding me? There is no way this happens. They'd trade down instead of getting this guy.

Geez, and I thought taking a corner at 6 is a reach

DrZ usually knows his stuff, but I don't see Clady at 6. Now if there were a trade down, sure. But at 6, if by some weird coincidence if Dorsey were still there, we could really fleece somebody in the next 10 spots and get Clady (Since DrZ seems to think he's worth taking at 6 overall, I would rather have a corner.)

yeah..the general consensus around...gee i dunno...NORTH AMERICA!! considers Stewart and Mendenhall reaches at #6.....i don't agree with it....but the so-called football world does.

personally...I would take either one over McFadden....

I know there's a lot of McFadden love on this board...and i'm not discounting his talent...but his family life scares me (the crack whore mother, and the threat of moving his 20 or so siblings to NYC to live him)....

yes...my thought exactly....if we got Clady after a trade down, fine....but not at #6....that's fucking retarded.

If you're just fine and comfortable with our depth and starters on the right side of the line, then I feel bad you. I don't think Woody is anything more than a stopgap, and he'll probably end up being a rotation player a year or two down the road. We need another young tackle. You're sitting here telling me we have plenty of depth on a questionable unit like our OL, which also happens to be the most important unit on the entire field... and are simultaneously pimping us to reach up to draft a runningback with a solid core of RBs on our roster. Are you fucking new here? Or just lemming it up with the RB love? Up until all the DMC talk started, nobody was talking about drafting a RB.

I will sit back and wait to see how whatever player we draft pans out on the field.

Yeah, Abyzmul, the FO is trying to build a football team not a fantasy.

Abyzmul, I agree -- it's fine and dandy to collect all these Free Agents, and I'm very happy about that. But we do not know what we have as yet. It's still conjecture.

We have a priority in building that line of scrimmage -- both sides of it. It is at the line of scrimmage where the NYJs are losing the ball game.

People need to understand that. We can't do too much with the DL and the OL until we have established dominance on that line of scrimmage. Not because we think it, but because the rest of the NFL grudgingly has to deal with it, game after game.

are you blind AND stupid too?

your post is...well...kind of like your "namesake"...it's Abysmul.

I never once said was I happy with the depth on the right side...i said you draft for depth in the later rounds...do you want me to tell you a third time or are you okay now?...

.we spent a shitload of money on the O-line in FA...why would the Jets draft an O-lineman not named J.Long with the 6th overall choice...that's ludicrous...

And I said I would rather take a somebody who is considered a "reach" at #6, then a depth player...not necessarily a running back...i used Mendenhall and Stewart as examples...fuck, it could be Rivers....feel better yet??

I'll bet you........Clady goes top 10. His stock is still on the rise, legitimately, not like the Gholston hype.

I'm always for drafting the OL. I've been yelling that for years. But in this situation, with no pressure to draft o-line as a need position, I would be satisfied with taking someone in the first 4 rounds to develop.
