Just wondering. The Rex experiment might be on its last legs. Other teams have caught on to his defensive schemes. He has not managed to upgrade the talent in any appreciable way. And the players don't seem as fired up to play for him anymore. Anybody think he's gone if the team doesn't make the playoffs?
No, but hopefully Sanchez and Tannenbaum will be. Woody likes the 'buzz' around Rex too much to can him this year.
Tanny goes before Rex does. Not saying that's happening if this is a season long shit show like today, but of the two, I think Tanny's on a shorter leash than Rex is.
Let's see what the Jets can do with a legit QB. Not sure Sanchez is it, and how many Jets fans have much faith in Tebow as a long term answer?
If Mr. T goes so does Rex, no GM is going to stay with a coach he didn't pick, I really feel that there has to be some type of pressure put on the front office if this season flops, there are a lot of 1yr contacts on the Jets the biggest is Revis if this is a flop there has to be some turnover all over from top to bottom
Rex is gone after a collapse, just like Herm was. Tannenbaum is probably gone if the Jets finish 7-9. 10-6, 4-12, 9-7, 9-7, 11-5, 8-8, 7-9 does not leave you itching to see the next numbers in the series.
one thing that Rex has to explain is why do the Jets not go after it with time left and time outs at the end of 2nd quarter, after the Steelers scored the Jets had time to move in FG position and get a quick 3 and then get the ball back to start the half, this offense needs to be more aggressive when they have the ball, Steelers were controlling the clock and Jets just wasted a chance to get momentum, Rex please get this team playing big time football as you talk about all the time
Ryan isn't a bad coach. This team is built... oddly.. to put it nicely. We have solid #2 reciever masquerading as a#1 with an attitude. Green while not bad is not really good and seems like he's falling over before he's even tackled.. A guy that is more or less off the street at RT(doing a pretty solid job). We don't have a true FS, and our LB core feels like its made up entirely of slower run stopping ILB. Ryan gets the most out of our team but we need a few more dynamic parts. I place the blame squarely on the shoulders of Tannenbaum and whoever the hell advises him.
I bet last game in Pitt where Sanchez "fumbled" and the Steelers took it to 7 remained in the back of his head. Probably had an influence on that. I was a little upset too since Sanchez thrived in the 2 minute offense
I think Rex might be a little like Billy Martin. You get a sugar rush for a few years but then the players tire of his act.
