If theres anyway possible to keep Chad , then keep him ,and Clemens and Tui.
Really, does it matter whos playing QB?
We have so many other needs that must be addressed.
If we can get an oline thats half decent and a D that can rank at least mid table, then start worrying about the QB for the future.
Congratulations to all the posters that wanted us to lose that game....I'm sure the team feel the same way too.
This rebuilding is painfull , I just hope that we are actually building though.

The Jets have lost what? 7 games this year by a TD or less? Add the fact that WE SHOULD add another talent on the O-Line during FA to play alongside Ferguson & Mangold, a top 4 draft pick... Maybe even D.McFadden, and a weaker schedule next year... And guess what? We have a chance at making the playoffs.

Lets not forget that this offseason will be Kellens fist offseason as the #1 QB getting the starting reps needed with the first string Offense during TC and Preseason

We know what Pennington can do when he has an offensive line. We know what Clemens can do when he doesn't. Restructure Pennington or get rid of him. Draft a day 2 QB or bring in a quality vet to compete with Clemens. And fix the OL before hand, of course.

Take this the right way, but that really wouldn't make us GENUINE contenders. I'm sick of just making up the numbers.
Kellen has to earn some respect before its awarded , hes done zilch so far , some his fault some not.

I like Chad and what he did for this team, but the time has come to move on. Whether Clemens is the guy or we draft high on a QB in '09 it doesn't matter. Clemens must be evaluated when he has some semblance of a team behind him.

If our team gets better one could certainly make the argumnt that Chad would be better, too. But I say that given the huge laundry list of things that must be solved this off-season, we must trade Chad for a player or semi-decent pick in the 2nd or early 3rd round. We need new young bodies on this team in order to improve and this off-season poses an emormous FA and drafting challenge.
