i was laughing today....this time last year i was still so PO'd about losing Lamont.......i cant even remeber the last time i thought of Herm.....its like he doesnt exist
no everyone is excited to see herm gone, so all the fans have no second thoughts as to wether dispatching him was the right move!
the last time i thought about him was during the draft when they showed him and all of Radio City started booing
I think of herm when I think of clock management woes, and adjustments...outside of being a great PR/communications guy he just wasn't right for this team...Good guy honestly even after he snaked out of here I think so, but just not right for this team...not every coach in the league or in any league is x's and o's and for some guys it works. For Herm it worked for so long until the NY lights shattered it
I do miss his disjointed monologues, though. There was definitely a method to his madness. It was like Perfomance Art. All he needed was some discordant, screechy "music" as accompaniment in the background to complete the picture. If I didn't know better, I would have thought that they cleaned up Larry Hogue ("The Wild Man of 96th Street), medicated him, and dressed him a snappy outfit.
Dick Curl.......my god what an embarresment to be a JET fan......that was just the most idiotic scenerio .....completely 3 stooges kinda stuff
The only thing good about Herm was that he liked to wear the crushed-cotton university style baseball caps... which meant there were more of them in production for us fans that don't like wearing that gaudy, graffiti-looking "my head is too big for body" style baseball caps.
Last time I was really mad at Herm was at the draft when his dumb face came up on the big screen. I booed as loud as I could.
Are you kidding? For most of the offseason people on this site would start a thread if there was a picture hanging crooked in Herm's office in Kansas City. It seemed like Clemens Love was just starting to overcome Herm Hate until somebody had to start this thread...
^For shame, how you can you forget the infamous Charge of The Ty Law Brigade? I almost stabbed myself in the face.
Yeah I do, but right now there's not really alot to think about. He hasn't really had a chance to screw up or succeed in KC yet. I think it will cross my mind more once the season starts, I will be interested to see what people are saying about him down there. Of course, I can't avoid seeing him every time he NFL Network commercial for the Thanksgiving games comes on, and they have Herm decked out in his KC gear saying "It's a cornacopia of football!"
I thought of Herm when I recently read that new jets OC Brian S. implied that Martin's workload willl be greatly reduced depending on production. Can anyone ever imagine Herm Edwards playing anyone at RB for the jets other than his son Curtis Martin regardless of Martin's age/health? Only Herm and Terry Bradway would have been so committed so long to one back and lose a good young back like Jordan.
I haven't thought if Herm until I saw a thread about Herm started by someone who claims to not think about Herm, despite starting a thread about Herm, which clearly shows that he was thinking about Herm at some point before pressing the keys on his keyboard that spelled H-E-R-M.
