Do you thin the Jets will pick up Ashworth or do you think they will pick a rookie for the RT in the 06 draft? Since they dont need a C anymore cause they picked up the guy from the AFL Charles Missant he is pretty good.
The Jets have more thank likely already offered a contract to Ashworth. I think he will choose to play somewhere else.
Ashworth could be a major signing, if he comes here. I would not bank on Missant though.... we have the kid from the SF practice squad, who was the starting center for USC in 2004. I forgot his name at the moment, but reports are he's being eyeballed as the starting center in 2006.
I think we might, because of Mangini. I'd like to see us sign Brad Hopkins. He's old but a solid tackle.
Its between us, Miami, and TB. TB already offered him a contract I think, but Im pretty sure he rejected it. TB is said to have alot of interest in Marcus McNeill also, as much as they did last year in Cadillac Williams. So if they dont pony up their offer, itll likely come down to us and Miami. We might have the edge because of our cap space, our tremendous hole at tackle (he is assured to start), and Mangini recent hiring.
the jets have interest in Mcneil as well so. Idk who we will take for the RT but we might take Mcneil in the 1st round maybe cause he will be a Good RT for a decade
Ashworth has missed more games to injury over the last three seasons than John Abraham.. how is that a major signing? Or is John Abraham the only one crapped all over for missing games to injury?
He's probably asking for a contract that we aren't willing to offer. It wouldn't be a huge lost because of his injury concerns.
