but i did see revis get toasted by braylon, on two occasions. how many more times did this happen? how was our pass rush? what about our receivers other than coles? did our line stink it up again? clemens threw a ton of passes, with 2 picks. his accuracy way off today? any bone crunching hits? i hate that i missed it, it sounded like a decent game to watch?
We had a pass rush? I watched the game and never saw one. Revis got bet by Edwards on three plays that I remembered. Also had a couple of decent pass defenses. That Game was one of his worst in his young tenure as a starting CB.
Revis was showed up by Edwards once. It was a pass that was played well by Revis, but it hit him in the shoulder pad and Edwards snagged it with one hand, making it look easy. The long pass over the middle that led to the TD was a great pass by Anderson where only Edwards could get it....up high. Revis didnt have a great game, or a good game at that, but he didnt have a terrible game. Just another learning experience to notch under his belt...as long as he learns from it, I could care less. This season is down the drain, so its all about reps. The same goes for Clemens, who clearly needs to get his head out of his ass. Its obvious he has the skill sets to play this game at a high level, but his awareness just isnt there yet. He holds on too long and tries to make plays that arent there. He isn't doing very well at putting his team in position to make plays, at least that often. But then again, I feel its also a product of the crappy playcalling by Schott. I wonder where the Schott of 2006 went?
i'm not sure where schotts has gone. i personally (like everyone else i guess) thought that the offense with clemens would open up , but from what i have been able to see, it hasnt. i will say one good thing about revis, he is usually right up in the receivers ass on every ball thrown his way. from the reply i got earlier, our d-line still isnt producing? did the new aquisition get any reps?maybe sometime between now and next year this team will get another receiver to throw to. for the life of me i cant figure out why schott seems so vanilla.
i still think you need to give schott another year the playbook is designed for pennington and peeningtons play style and kellens are totally different
ill summarize the game for u 0 sacks, 1 INT by rhodes that was nice...off of that turnover, we got to the 1 yardline and got no points out of it...clemens threw an INT on 3rd and goal from the 3....we could have taken an early 7-0 lead and that would have been huge Braylon Edwards only had 3 catches, but they were all HUGE plays in the game...1 was a 14 yarder on 4th down that set up a TD, another was like a 40 yarder that set up his TD catch that was a fade over revis we did a good job of stopping the run in the first half, but of course we can never stop the run when it matters (2nd half) clemens looked like crap...but cotchery and coles are TOUGH AS HELL...they played great today considering the injuries they had mangini really blew this one with his strategy towards the end of the game....we were down 17-12 with like a 1:50 left in the fourth...it was 4th and 10 on clevelands 20 yard line, we had 3 timeouts...but he decided to kick a field goal instead of go for it....it was a horrible decision that backfired on us...we went for the onside kick after and didnt get it and we lost it was very, very frusterating...dont be too mad that u missed it, u probably would have flipped out like i did
This post is Funny. I assume the original poster did not listen either?? The post made me think... I do not remember any time. No matter what I was doing, where I was etc. that I have ever missed a game since I was old enough where mom and dad were not dragging me off somehere when I was little. Now, I go to the home games and watch the away games on TV but.... I remember going to weddings..etc with walkmans or small TV's.
It's a shame that I don't even watch anything on ESPN after Sunday. I have to endure another off season and another 9 months of baseball just to see how pissed off the Jets make me next year.
Lets not say Revis played bad....its not like he was out of position or anything but Braylon was making all sort of xfactor plays out there. The 4th down catch were he did a 180, caught a ball that was heading out of bounds and just getting his feet in bounds was a thing of beauty. His one hand catch on the fade where he sandwiched the ball between his shoulder pad...brilliance. After 3 years Braylon Edwards has finally made the jump to an elite wr. And we still manned up with our rookie. Still, we made him work for those plays...it wasn't just like he was wide open all the time or anything.
I can count on one hand the # of times I have watched SportsCenter since the season started. It's way too depressing. Especially with the non-stop lovefest with the Patriots. They should change the name from SportsCenter to Patriots All Ass-Kiss.
Braylon made some really incredible catches. Watching this game honestly, there were some catches he made that had me saying "wow". He is a great reciever.
