... in the pocket at all during the week. No one stayed in their rush lanes, kept containment or stayed in the middle to spy. He killed us with those 3rd down runs.

Of all the glaring miscues, not keeping him contained stands out as the thing that consistently killed us throughout the game.

And the thing that most of us figured the team would address. There were several ideas being circulated as to how Rex might do so.

FYI you cant practice improvisation... Its called school yard football and unfortunately he is the best in the NFL at it... It helps that he weights close to 260

    winner.

To think keeping him contained is some easy assignment is pretty funny.

Not keeping him contained, scheming for the inevitable fact that he regularly breaks containment.

no pass rush and nobody was aggressively going after him

they got lucky to play against the same type of team twice. teams that they are built to beat

It's not an easy thing to do, and when he has a weapon like Heath Miller - who can box out defenders like a center - to throw to when he's scrambling works against us. Pace had a couple of shots, but I saw him get tripped up by the turf a couple of times.

The only answer to that type of player is speed. We need it from the LBs in general, especially since we're going to be seeing a lot of Gronkowski and Hernandez this season.
